J.J. Pegues just wants to help Auburn win football games.
The former tight end made the switch to defensive line this past weekend and, when new head coach Bryan Harsin approached him about the move, he was more than willing for the challenge.
“I chose to go to the d-line for my team,” Pegues said. “So we can get wins.”
It is extremely important considering the lack of depth the Tigers have on the defensive line this season after the departures of Big Kat Bryant and Daquan Newkirk. At 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds, Pegues natural athletic ability should give him an edge when going against less agile men.
“I’ll play whatever they tell me to play,” Pegues said.
