Atlanta Dream at Las Vegas Aces odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Atlanta Dream at Las Vegas Aces odds and lines, with WNBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Atlanta Dream (10-20) and Las Vegas Aces (18-12) meet Friday at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET (ION). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Dream vs. Aces odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Tied 1-1

After a 3-game win streak coming out of the Olympics break, the Dream has dropped 3 consecutive games, including the road trip opener in Seattle on Wednesday. However, the Dream did cover the 8.5-point spread as underdogs in the 85-81 loss to the Storm as the Over (156.5) cashed.

Atlanta has found plenty of success on the road lately, going 6-1-1 against the spread (ATS) in the past 8 away from home, while the Over-Under has split 4-4 in those outings.

The Aces have also had some difficulties lately, winning just once in the past 4 outings. Vegas lost 93-90 in Dallas on Tuesday night despite the fact A’ja Wilson dropped 42 points on 16-of-22 shooting. She also had 6 boards, 3 blocked shots and 2 assists with a steal in 37 minutes.

Las Vegas is just 2-5 straight up (SU) in the past 7 games, and it has failed to cover in each of the previous 9 outings.

These teams last met July 12 in the Atlanta, with the Aces coming away with an 84-70 win, but the Dream held on for the cover as 14.5-point underdogs at most shops. The Under (169.5) cashed in that one, as well as the 1st meeting in Atlanta on May 31. Atlanta won 78-74 as an 8-point ‘dog in that one.

Dream at Aces picks and predictions

Prediction

Aces 83, Dream 76

Moneyline

Playing Las Vegas (-700), and risking 7 times your potential return, is a very risky proposition. First off, the Aces haven’t been playing very good basketball, and second, it’s never a good idea to risk so much for such a small return.

Even as part of a multi-leg parlay, backing the Aces sucks all of the value out of your ticket.

AVOID.

Against the spread

Take ATLANTA +10.5 (-112) catching more than 5 buckets in Friday’s battle.

The Dream have been red-hot on the road, at least against the number, going 6-1-1 ATS in the past 8 games away from home. Meanwhile, the Aces -10.5 (-108) have failed to cover in 9 consecutive games. While, yes, Las Vegas is due, it hasn’t shown any signs of snapping out of its funk lately.

Over/Under

UNDER 165.5 (-110) is a solid play, as long as Wilson doesn’t go off for a 2nd straight game.

Even with Wilson’s amazing stat line, the Over (181) just barely connected in the 93-90 loss in Dallas, and the Wings are substantially worse than the Dream defensively. The Under is still 7-3 across the past 10 games for the Aces, too, including the most recent matchup with the Dream on July 12.

For the Dream, the Under is on a 3-1-1 run in the past 5 games, while going 7-3-1 in the previous 11 outings.

Atlanta Dream at Las Vegas Aces odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Atlanta Dream at Las Vegas Aces odds and lines, with WNBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Atlanta Dream (15-15) wrap up a 3-game road trip against the Las Vegas Aces (26-3) Sunday at Michelob Ultra Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET (CBSSN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Dream vs. Aces odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

The Dream’s road trip has been a nightmare, losing 85-74 at the Los Angeles Sparks Saturday as a 1-point favorite and dropping a 68-67 loss at the Seattle Storm on Thursday as a 5-point favorite. The Under has cashed in 6 straight games, and 13 of the last 14 contests, for Atlanta.

The Aces were spanked 99-61 in New York last Sunday, just the 3rd outright loss of the season. Las Vegas has responded with 108.5 PPG in the past 2 games, both wins by at least 20 points. The Over has cashed in each of those outings and is 8-3 across the past 11 contests.

Dream at Aces picks and predictions

Prediction

Aces 101, Dream 79

Moneyline

The Aces (-5000) will cost you 50 times your potential return. Nobody needs $2 badly enough to risk $100 on a moneyline bet in WNBA.

AVOID.

Against the spread

The ACES -16.5 (-110) got a wake-up call in New York last Sunday. Las Vegas has roughed up the Dallas Wings on the road and the Washington Mystics at home, winning by 20 or more points. Look for the Aces to continue keeping the pedal to the metal as they rough up the Dream.

These teams just met at Mandalay Bay on Aug. 1 with the Aces pounding the Dream 93-72 as a 13.5-point favorite as the Under (180) cashed. Vegas dropped Atlanta 92-87 on the road, too, with the Dream cashing as an 11.5-point underdog as the Over (174) hit.

Over/Under

OVER 175.5 (-110) is a great play despite Atlanta’s recent spate of Under results.

The Aces own the best offense in the WNBA, notching 94.2 PPG, while also leading the league in field-goal percentage (49.9%), 3-point percentage (39.1%) and free-throw percentage (83.2%).

It’s hard betting an Over in a Dream game, but the Over is 8-3 in the past 11 games overall for the Aces and they just pile up points against anyone. The Over is 2-0 in the first 2 matchups between these teams this season, too.

Atlanta Dream at Las Vegas Aces odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Atlanta Dream at Las Vegas Aces odds and lines, with WNBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Atlanta Dream (14-11) travel to meet the Las Vegas Aces (23-2)  Tuesday at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Dream vs. Aces odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

The Dream failed to cover as 8-point favorites Sunday, but Atlanta posted an 80-73 win over the Washington Mystics as the Under (167) cashed. Atlanta is still just 2-3 straight-up (SU), while going just 1-4 against the spread (ATS). The Under is also on an 8-1 run across the past 9 games overall.

The Aces hit the century mark for the 2nd consecutive outing, posting a 104-91 win over the Dallas Wings Sunday as 11-point favorites. The Over is 6-1 across the past 7 games overall, while the Aces are a healthy 5-2 ATS during the span.

The Aces topped the Dream in the first meeting June 2 in Atlanta, but Las Vegas won just 92-87, not even coming close to covering as an 11.5-point favorite as the Over (174) connected.

Dream at Aces picks and predictions

Prediction

Aces 97, Dream 81

Moneyline

The Aces (-1600) will cost 16 times the potential return, and that’s a ridiculous bet. You would need to risk $160 just to win $10. Nobody needs a sawbuck that badly.

AVOID.

Against the spread

The ACES -14.5 (-110) have had it on cruise control. They have been scary good despite losing Candace Parker to a surgery. This offense has been hotter than the desert sun, rolling up 97 or more points in 3 straight, and 6 of the past 7 games.

As a double-digit favorite, Las Vegas is 5-2 ATS in the past 7 games, while going 12-9 ATS overall on the season.

The Dream +14.5 (-110) covered against the Aces in the 1st meeting, and Atlanta is 3-1 ATS in 4 games as a double-digit ‘dog. However, again, Atlanta is just 1-4 ATS in the past 5 games overall, struggling mightily against the number. That’s not good when pulling into Vegas.

Over/Under

OVER 176.5 (-110) is the lean, but go super light.

This is such a big number, but Vegas has posted triple digits in each of the past 2 games. We had a total of 174 on the board for the 1st meeting in Atlanta back in early June, and the teams combined for 179 total points. Look for a similar result here.
