RHP Mike Fiers vs. RHP Dylan Bundy
Fiers is 1-0 so far this season, but he’s pitched to a 5.63 ERA in three starts with only five strikeouts.
- The Athletics have won all three of Fiers’ starts and he’s pitched at least six innings in each of his last two outings.
- He’s 6-4 in his career against the Angels but owns a 5.18 ERA in those 15 appearances.
Bundy has been stellar for the Angels this season, going 2-1 with a 2.08 ERA and 25 strikeouts in his first three starts.
- This is Bundy’s first season with the Angels and he has already thrown a complete game.
- Bundy is 3-1 in six games against the Athletics in his career, but his ERA sits at 4.26.

Prediction
Athletics 4, Angels 3
Moneyline (ML)
The Athletics had won nine games in a row before getting tripped up against the Angels Monday night. It was a close 10-9 loss, and they have a good chance to bounce back Tuesday against an Angels team that had lost three in a row before Monday.
The Athletics have won each of Fiers’ three starts and he’s good for at least five or six innings, which will get them to their bullpen late in the game. Take the ATHLETICS (+135) at plus money.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)
The run line has Los Angeles favored by 1.5 runs, even though the Athletics have looked like the far better team this season. Having Bundy on the hill helps, as the Angels are 2-1 in his three starts, but Oakland’s power will shine through.
Getting 1.5 runs at -167 feels like a good bet, but I’d rather lean toward the moneyline and take the better upside. PASS on the run line.
Over/Under (O/U)
The Over/Under is set at 9 runs with both sides -110. Bundy probably won’t give up too many runs, but the Angels bullpen isn’t exactly dominant and Oakland has one of the most powerful lineups in baseball.
Still, I’m going with the UNDER 9 (-110) and banking on Fiers and Bundy carrying their teams into at least the sixth or seventh inning.
