As we have seen, this year the Irish have been hauling in ACC and national awards. It is rightfully so after joining the ACC and plowing through the regular season undefeated, albeit losing in the conference championship game this past weekend to Clemson.
Just this evening, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly has been named the AP’s ACC Coach of the Year.

This is the first time Kelly has taken home this prestigious honor, and most likely the only time he will. The Irish currently have a 10-1 record along with a berth in the College Football Playoffs. It’s safe to say that Notre Dame and Brian Kelly have had a year to remember.
