Top 2025 QB prospect plans to visit Florida this summer

Billy Napier is making sure the QB position is taken care of going forward, with a top 2025 QB prospect expected to make his 3rd visit to Gainesville this summer.

With all the recent conversation surrounding the Florida Gators’ quarterback room, [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag] seems to be making sure that the conversation doesn’t become a recurring trope in the future.

[autotag]Antwann Hill[/autotag] is among the best quarterbacks in the 2025 class, and the Orange and Blue are positioning themselves as a player in his recruitment. The 6-foot-4-inch, 205-pound signal caller from Warner Robbins, Georgia, was offered by the Gators after an impressive showing at UF’s Friday Night Lights camp in the summer of 2022. As a result, Napier and his staff have been keeping tabs and creating a relationship with Hill. They were so impressed, that Napier himself has been personally involved in Hill’s recruitment.

In a recent conversation with 247Sports, Hill mentions that he would like to take another visit to Gainesville over the summer. The trip would be his third, most recently having been on hand for the Gators’ 2022 season-opening win over the eventual Pac-12 champion Utah Utes.

Despite having visited Gainesville twice, Hill has yet to see the new Bill Heavener Football Training Center. The complex opened one week after his Friday Night Lights visit and, despite being on campus for the season-opening Utah game, he was not able to see the facility after it was officially unveiled. The Gators would love to have Hill back on campus to show off the state-of-the-art facility.

With Hill a part of the 2025 class, he has plenty of time to go through his offers and decide what’s best for him. If all goes according to plan, the Gators would be in a position to add Hill to a quarterback room headlined by top 2024 prospect [autotag]DJ Lagway[/autotag], who according to the 247Sports consensus is a five-star prospect and the No. 3 QB in the 2024 class. He committed to the Orange and Blue last year and has been very vocal about recruiting other top players in the class to join him in Gainesville.

Hill will be taking his time and making multiple visits in the coming summer. He told 247Sports that has visits planned at Alabama and Ole Miss, among others. According to the 247Sports Consensus, Hill is the No. 7 overall quarterback prospect in the 2025 class. He holds over 20 offers, with top programs like Georgia, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Texas A&M among those programs.

Top 2025 quarterback prospect remains a target for Florida

A top 2025 QB prospect says the Florida Gators are a team to watch in his recruitment, citing personal relationships and heavy interest from the coaching staff.

The Florida Gators quarterbacks room has been a hot topic as of late, with the 2023 edition expected to look very different from the 2022 edition. With 2023 five-star prospect [autotag]DJ Lagway[/autotag] committed and openly recruiting for the Orange and Blue, all eyes turn to the 2025 class.

[autotag]Antwann Hill[/autotag] is among the best quarterbacks in the 2025 class, with the Florida Gators expected to be a major player in his recruitment process. The 6-foot-4-inch, 205-pound signal caller from Warner Robbins, Georgia, was offered by the Gators after an impressive showing at UF’s Friday Night Lights camp in the summer of 2022. As a result, [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag] and his staff have been keeping tabs and creating a relationship with Hill. They were so impressed, that Napier himself has been personally involved in Hill’s recruitment.

Hill’s relationship with the Florida staff actually goes back to before he was in high school. Antwaan’s uncle is Trey Hill, a former Georgia offensive lineman who was drafted in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL fraft by the Cincinnati Bengals. One person involved in Trey’s recruitment to Georgia was [autotag]William Peagler[/autotag]. The current Florida tight ends coach was a graduate assistant on Georgia’s staff and is familiar with the Hill family.

While Peagler has a personal connection with Hill, offensive analyst Ryan O’Hara has been the main point of contact with the Houston County signal caller. Their relationship has consisted of breaking down film and building a working relationship that would translate to the UF quarterback room if he were to arrive on campus in 2025.

Despite having visited Gainesville twice, Hill has yet to see the new Bill Heavener Football Training Center. The complex opened one week after his Friday Night Lights visit and, despite being on campus for the season-opening Utah game, he was not able to see the facility after it opened up. The Gators would love to have Hill back on campus to show off the state-of-the-art facility.

They’ll need to fight off other top programs like Tennessee, Auburn, Texas A&M, Notre Dame and Georgia, who On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine have as the leader in Hill’s recruitment with a 43% chance of signing the in-state player. Despite that, Hill is adamant that all programs have an equal chance of landing him and that he will see where the recruitment process takes him.

Peach State QB sees similarities to Uiagalelei, feels he could ‘really fit in’ with Clemson’s offense

After camping at Clemson this summer, a talented young signal-caller from the Peach State, with a double-digit offer list already, is looking to return to Tiger Town during the upcoming season.

Antwann Hill – a 6-foot-5, 210-pound rising sophomore quarterback from Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Ga. – plans to coordinate with Clemson offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Brandon Streeter to arrange a game-day visit for this fall.

“I will get in touch with Coach Streeter and pick out a game,” Hill told The Clemson Insider recently. “I would love to see a big game just to see how they game plan for those really tough opponents.”

Hill, a class of 2025 prospect who holds several ACC and SEC offers, had the opportunity to work and talk with Streeter during the first day of the Dabo Swinney Camp on June 1.

When he looks back on that trip to Tiger Town for camp, a couple of things stick out to Hill about Clemson’s program based on what he learned about it, especially the style of offense and quarterback position.

“What stands out is I love how they prepare the quarterbacks and the pro-style system they run,” he said.

Hill – who has hauled in early offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas, Pittsburgh, Louisville and others – describes himself as a pocket passer but added that he’s “a playmaker.”

“If I need to use my legs, that’s what I’m going to do,” he said.

Given what he brings to the table as a quarterback, Hill believes he’d be a great fit for the Tigers’ offense in the future, and he sees similarities between himself and Clemson rising junior quarterback DJ Uiagalelei.

“I think me and DJ, Clemson’s current QB, have things in common – big size, frame, strong arm and can make plays,” Hill said. “So, I strongly feel I could really fit in with the offensive scheme they run.”

It’s still really early in the recruiting process for Hill, but he named Ohio State, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia and Florida as some of the schools standing out to him at this point.

Hill is high on the Tigers, as well, and can see himself potentially calling Clemson his college home should Swinney’s program extend an offer to him down the road.

“An offer from Clemson would be another big life-changing opportunity on the table for me,” he said, “that maybe can be a new home for me in the future.”

Clemson ‘could be a major option’ for standout Peach State signal-caller

Among the standout signal-callers who had the chance to showcase their talent on the first day of the Dabo Swinney Camp on Wednesday, June 1, was Antwann Hill – a 6-foot-5, 210-pound rising sophomore quarterback from Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Ga.

“I really enjoyed the camp, it was nice and organized,” Hill told The Clemson Insider, “and the highlight of the day was routes on air where I really could show the coaches that I can be really accurate with the ball.”

Hill, a class of 2025 prospect who holds several ACC and SEC offers already, had the opportunity to work and talk with Tigers offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Brandon Streeter during the Swinney Camp.

“He was just telling me little things that I can work on to better my game,” Hill said, “and how they take their recruiting process very slow but overall he loved seeing what I could do in person and he is excited to get me back up there.”

Streeter made a great impression on Hill, both as a coach and person.

“I love Coach Streeter’s passion for teaching QBs the right mechanics and drops for specific routes,” Hill said, “and just how he carries himself as a person. Just a cool person in general.”

Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County 2025 QB Antwann Hill during the morning session on Day 1 of the Dabo Swinney Camp Wednesday, June 1

June 1 wasn’t Hill’s first time on Clemson’s campus, as he traveled to Tiger Town when he was younger with his uncle, Trey Hill, on a recruiting visit when the former four-star offensive lineman from Houston County High was being recruited by the Tigers.

Trey went on to play at Georgia from 2018-20 before being selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

“I’ve been there once when my uncle Trey Hill had to go up there,” Antwann said, “but I was a little kid running around then but now I’m just soaking it all in.”

This time around, last week, Antwann made the trip to Clemson with his mom and dad.

“They enjoyed it,” he said. “It was their first time on campus, and they loved the hospitality the Clemson staff gave them.”

Along with Clemson, schools such as Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, Ohio State and Oregon are showing interest in Hill, who has hauled in early offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas, Pittsburgh, Louisville and others.

Receiving an offer from Clemson in the future – and having the chance to follow in the footsteps of Clemson quarterbacks past and present like Trevor Lawrence, Deshaun Watson and D.J. Uiagalelei –b would be a huge deal for Hill.

“It would mean everything,” he said. “It would be another opportunity opening for down the road, and as long as me and the coaches’ relationships keep building, they could be a major option for me because how they make QBs like Trevor, Deshaun, and now trying to make DJ look is just amazing. They’re a QB school that’s going to develop you.”

Hill also camped at Tennessee on June 4 and has other trips scheduled to UCF (June 18) and Georgia (June 25).
