A new annual event highlighting one high-profile game every season is beginning in 2023. The Allstate Crossbar Classic will feature one marquee regular-season matchup every year and it starts with the Week 2 meeting between Alabama and Texas.
The showdown is the second installment of a home-and-home series. In 2022, the game took place in Austin, Texas where the Crimson Tide escaped with a one-point win.
Though the 2023 contest between two of the biggest brands in college football was already highly anticipated, this just adds an extra layer of excitement for fans. Not to mention, there may be some serious College Football Playoff implications depending on the outcome.
The game takes place on Sept. 9, 2023, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
