UFC on ESPN+ 41: Abdul Razak Alhassan vs. Khaos Williams odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s UFC on ESPN+ 41 fight between Abdul Razak Alhassan and Khaos Williams, with MMA betting odds, picks, tips and predictions.

In a welterweight bout on the main card, Abdul Razak Alhassan and Khaos Williams meet at UFC on ESPN+ 41 – also called UFC Fight Night 182 –  Saturday at the UFC’s APEX facility in Las Vegas. The early prelims kick off at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN+, followed by the main card set for 7 p.m. ET, also on ESPN+.

Alhassan (10-2) – a.k.a. “Judo Thunder” – is a Ghanaian fighter looking to bounce back after a disappointing unanimous-decision setback against Mounir Lazzez last time out on July 15 at Fight Island on the Kattar-Ige Fight Night card. That loss slapped the brakes on an impressive three-bout KO/TKO win streak, including back-to-back first-round knockouts of Sabah Homasi, and a 43-second spanking of Niko Price on the UFC 228 card. All 10 of Alhassan’s professional victories in 12 career fights have come via KO/TKO, so there isn’t much mystery in what he’ll be looking to do.

Williams (10-1) stands two inches taller than his counterpart and has a four-inch reach advantage. He’ll try to use the latter to keep Alhassan at a distance. It’s not a misprint, as Williams has a 22.22 significant strikes landed per minute mark, but it’s a bit deceiving. His company debut at UFC 247 lasted just 27 seconds before knocking out Alex Morono on Feb. 8, so it’s obviously a bit skewed. In fact, five of Williams’ past nine fights have ended up going the distance, with three KO/TKO wins and a submission victory.

Abdul Razak Alhassan vs. Khaos Williams: Betting odds, predictions and picks

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated at 4:24 a.m. ET.

Alhassan (-223) will be looking to tire out Williams (+185) early in this brawl. He owns a 4.54 significant strikes landed per minute mark, and that mark is larger sample size than his counterpart. Still, with the way Williams can end a fight with one-punch, Alhassan is a bit risky on the 2-way line.

Look to ALHASSAN BY KO/TKO, DQ or SUBMISSION (-162) for a little less risk. In addition, you will want to jump on ALHASSAN IN ROUND 1 (+110), and avoid playing multiple options in the round betting. This one isn’t going to go very far. In fact, the books are expecting a very early ending, too, with No (-556): Will the fight go the distance? way too expensive. Even Under 2.5 Rounds (-417) is too much risk. Perhaps play UNDER 1.5 ROUNDS (-209), but go very lightly on that one, too.
