Former Alabama defensive tackle Raekwon Davis had a full four-year collegiate career at the University of Alabama, and he will now be taking his talents to the NFL.
Davis will begin his professional career with the Miami Dolphins after being drafted with the No. 56 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
In his time with the Crimson Tide, he accumulated 175 total tackles, 11.5 sacks, a lone interception and a forced fumble to go along with a fumble recovery.
He was expected to be drafted within rounds two or three, and the Dolphins knew he was the best defensive tackle available.
The 6-foot-6, 311-pound defensive lineman can play all positions on the line, including nose tackle and defensive end.
Head coach Brian Flores knows that they are getting a Nick Saban defensive product, which typically tends to translate well in the NFL, and a leader from Alabama’s defense.
He was forced into a leadership role in 2019 as he was a senior among plenty of underclassmen. This will likely help Davis when getting onto the field with NFL veterans and realize that he, much like the Crimson Tide’s freshmen, will have a lot to learn in his rookie season.
We are excited to see what Davis will do in the years to come as a member of the Miami Dolphins!

The 2020 NFL Draft is set to take place in Late April in Las Vegas, and it’s poised to be another Crimson Tide takeover in the first round with some mock drafts having eight former Alabama players being selected in the first round.
The most talked about player heading into the draft is former Alabama quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa.
Mel Kiper joined ESPN and spoke on his thoughts regarding Tagovailoa and the struggling Miami Dolphins as a pair.

Kiper, a seasoned NFL draft analyst, says that the Dolphins would be smart to draft Tagovailoa, essentially deeming them the winners of the ‘Tank for Tua’ sweepstakes.
He also goes on to explain that having the former Heisman finalist sit out a year and “red shirt” would not be the worst idea, citing Patrick Mahomes as an example of how that could work.
The Dolphins have an ideal situation in their quarterback room. They have Ryan Fitzpatrick under contract for one more season, to which they can let him play until Tagovailoa is healthy and ready to play.
There is still plenty of time until the 2020 NFL Draft, but Roll Tide Wire will keep you updated on all things Alabama football as needed.

The 2020 Senior Bowl is upon us and the Super Bowl LIV matchup is set.
Wilson’s first-round mock draft is full of talent from different programs from all across the country, but there are seven players that made the list that re products of the University of Alabama.
4. New York Giants – Jedrick Wills, OL
The Giants are going all in on their future quarterback, Daniel Jones. However, if he wants to be able to throw, he’ll need to be protected, that’s where Wills comes in.
Bleacher Report’s NFL draft expert, Matt Miller, released his most recent mock draft for the 2020 NFL Draft. With the NFL season finally coming to an end, and the early first round order set, football fans can now get a better look at their teams’ …
With the NFL season finally coming to an end, and the early first round order set, football fans can now get a better look at their teams’ placement in the draft and who their team will be selecting.
Miller has a record eight players from Alabama being selected in the first round of his mock draft.
Let’s take a look and see who he believes will be going from the Crimson Tide to the NFL.
4. New York Giants – Jerry Jeudy, WR
Miller believes that if the Giants want Daniel Jones to be their quarterback of the future, they better find him some offensive help. What better way to do that than draft possibly the best wide receiver in the draft.
5. Miami Dolphins – Tua Tagovailoa, QB
Looks like the Dolphins will be winning the ‘Tank for Tua’ sweepstakes in Miller’s scenario. The draft analyst breaks down Coach Brian Flores’ ability to lead a team and their need for a quarterback to build around. Miller mentions that this is all continent upon Tagovailoa declaring for the draft and not returning to Alabama.
11. New York Jets – Jedrick Wills, OT
If the Jets want Sam Darnold to work out long-term, they have to protect him. Wills proved in 2019 that he is more than capable of protecting the quarterback. A strong offensive line could be the missing piece to a Jets offense full of talent, but no production.
13. Indianapolis Colts – Henry Ruggs III, WR
Miller recognizes that the Colts are in desperate need for a quarterback after Andrew Luck unexpectedly retired before the 2019 season. However, Miller doesn’t believe that any of the available quarterback at this pick are worth taking this early. So instead, they will look to give Jacoby Brissett some weapons for 2020 as they’ll look aead for a quarterback.
19. Las Vegas Raiders – Dylan Moses, LB
The Raiders will utilize their second of two first-round draft picks on Moses, who cold be a big piece of their 2020 defense. Miller acknowledges the fact that the linebacker didn’t play a single snap in 2019, but argues that it likely won’t negatively affect his draft stock.
23. Buffalo Bills – DeVonta Smith, WR
Much like Miller’s reasoning for the Giants selecting Jeudy, if the Bills want Josh Allen to work out long-term, they need to give him weapons. Miller claims that the Bills won too many games in 2019 to earn a early draft pick for a top-tier receiver, but Smith would be a good fit if he declares for the draft.
26. Seattle Seahawks – Terrell Lewis, EDGE
Miller believes that if it weren’t for Lewis’ injuries while at Alabama, he would be a top-15 pick. He thinks this is a smart pick for the Seahawks as they can pair him with former SEC standout, Jadeveon Clowney.
31. San Francisco 49ers – Xavier McKinney, S
Miller’s explanation for this pick was fairly simple: the 49ers need a safety, and he’s the best safety on the board. Miller also claimed that McKinney’s talent was overlooked at Alabama due to most of the attention given to the offense.
