2025 5-star CB and Alabama commit will reportedly visit Texas A&M next month

2025 5-star cornerback Dijon Lee will vist Texas A&M next month

It has been confirmed that one of the top cornerback prospects in the 2025 recruiting class will visit Texas A&M next month, as 5-star CB Dijon Lee, currently committed to Alabama, will attend Texas A&M’s season finale showdown vs. the Texas Longhorns.

Texas A&M’s 2024 season has been a surprising success to some, as the Aggies sit at 5-1 and conference-leading 3-0 in the SEC, as new head coach Mike Elko deserves a ton of credit for building the roster through the transfer portal, while the 2025 recruiting class already looks highly impressive with 22 commitments.

Lee, who has been on Elko and defensive coordinator Jay Bateman’s radar for nearly a year, has kept in contact with the coaching staff. This season’s success, especially in the secondary, could have intrigued Lee enough to give the Aggies another look.

So far in the 2025 cycle, Elko has owned recruiting in California, landing commitments from 4-star CB Adonyss Currie, 4-star linebacker Noah Mikhail, and 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet.

According to 247Sports, Lee is currently ranked as the 31st-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the fourth-ranked cornerback, and the second-ranked prospect in California.

2025 5-Star CB commits to Ohio State over Texas A&M

2025 5-star cornerback Devin Sanchez has committed to Ohio State over Texas A&M and Alabama on Saturday afternoon.

In an attempt to make a big splash in the 2025 recruiting cycle, five-star cornerback Devin Sanchez was set to announce his widely anticipated commitment on Saturday, Jan. 6, as the No. 1-ranked CB in the cycle was set to choose between Ohio State, Alabama and Texas A&M.

After taking multiple visits to College Station on July 29 and Sept. 3, Sanchez has been on the Buckeyes’ radar for quite some time, as Sanchez announced during halftime of the 2024 All-American Bowl that he has committed to Ohio State ahead of his senior season at North Shore High School in Houston, Texas.

According to 247Sports, Sanchez is currently positioned as the 4th-ranked player in the 2025 cycle, the No. 1-ranked cornerback, and the No. 1-ranked player in the class, all while standing at a slender 6’2″ 170 pound-frame.

While the Aggies may have lost the initial recruiting battle, don’t count out head coach Mike Elko and his staff from continuing to pursue Sanchez down the stretch, especially if former North Shore cornerback Denver Harris opts to transfer back to A&M, adding another layer of influence.

2025 5-Star CB Devin Sanchez has reportedly narrowed down his program list ahead of his visit to Texas A&M

Ahead of his visit to College Station this weekend, 2025 5-star CB Devin Sanchez is now focused on three programs going forward.

Texas A&M’s critical Week 6 matchup vs. Alabama inside what is expected to be a sold-out Kyle Field is flooded with pre-game storylines, including the over 300 expected prospects set to attend the game, including 2025 five-star cornerback Devin Sanchez.

Joining a long list of elite prospects from the 2024, 2025, and 2026 recruiting cycles, Sanchez is by far at the top of the head coach Jimbo Fisher’s list of future priority prospects, as elite prospects at the cornerback position have consistently eluded Fisher and his staff before finally landing 2023 four-star Bravion Rogers late last year.

On Friday, On3 National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman released a small snippet of his latest conversation with Sanchez, who has narrowed his options to three programs, including Ohio State, Alabama, and Texas A&M.

“Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Alabama—Those teams right there took a step ahead in my recruitment”

According to On3, Sanchez is currently positioned as the 9th-ranked prospect in the 2025 cycle, the 2nd-ranked cornerback, and the No.1-ranked player in Texas in the midst of his junior season at North Shore (TX). This isn’t breaking news or anything, but a win over Alabama on Saturday could possibly catapult the Aggies’ chances at landing Sanchez while influencing nearly every fellow prospect in attendance.

Texas A&M will host No.10 Alabama on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 2:30 p.m. CT, inside Kyle Field (TV: CBS).
