LeBron James shows off personal Air Max collection on Air Max Day

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James showed off his incredible collection of Nike Air Max shoes on Air Max Day.

LeBron James took another turn at Instagram Live, as several other athletes, celebrities and DJs have done over the last couple of weeks as the spread of coronavirus has effectively shut much of the country down, including nearly all sports across the world. But even without any sports on the schedule, LeBron James celebrated a day associated with sports on Thursday, which included taking fans inside his incredible sneaker closet.

LeBron took fans on his Instagram Live on a trip through his sneaker collection as he took part in Nike Air Max Day, which is March 26. James celebrated it with a tweet earlier but then showed off some heat that he has back at the James Family home. Here, James showed off what I believe to be Air Max 97s in an Oregon Ducks colorway, which was my personal favorite of the Air Maxes James showed.

James also had an Air Max T-shirt, while he showed off an incredible collection, though he did say he was going to save some for later because some of them might have been too hot for Instagram.

LeBron James showed off his deep Air Max collection for Air Max Day

Bron really has some heat, man.

Every year on March 26, sneakerheads have laced up in their favorite pairs of Air Max shoes in celebration.

For those of you who don’t know, Air Max is a line of shoes made by Nike that started  on March 26, 1987. It’s been one of its staples since it first came on to the scene.

Every year, sneakerheads show their shoes off on Instagram or Twitter and some of the collections get really deep — the Air Max is a staple after all.

One of those sneakerheads with an insanely deep Air Max collection is LeBron James, apparently.

James gave us a quick tour of his sneaker close to show off his Air Max collection on Instagram Live on Thursday night. Breaking news, y’all — Bron got some heat on him.

He showed off an exclusive pair of Air Max 95’s, the Animal Pack Air Max 1’s, and the Serena Williams Off-White Air Max 97’s. Those are joints normal folks can’t find easily.

I guess LeBron is making a run at the NBA’s sneaker king title, too. He’s got SO many good pairs. Of course, that’s easy to do when you’re Nike’s biggest signature athlete. But still!

Shoutout to Bron, man. His sneaker collection is legit. His phone connection? Maybe not so much. Step that video quality up next time, LBJ.

LeBron James is still celebrating Air Max Day in quarantine

Los Angeles Lakers star and Nike athlete LeBron James is still planning on celebrating Air Max Day as the holiday is scheduled for.

Just because he’s unable to leave his home doesn’t mean LeBron James isn’t going to celebrate a major day for sneakerheads, specifically those who love Nike, whom LeBron has had a professional relationship with for his entire career.

March 26 is Air Max Day, a celebration of the Nike running shoes that first put visible airbags in their shoes. The Air Max shoes have led to various popular iterations and have created a unique following of their own, leading to their own holiday. Although James hasn’t shown off what kind of Air Maxes he is working with, James promises to celebrate the day at the James compound.

A quick glance at Instagram hasn’t shown us any of the heat LeBron is wearing around the crib but as one of Nike’s lifelong athletes and a lifelong fan of the brand since before he signed, there’s no doubt that James has some incredible Air Maxes that are just waiting to see the light of day.
