UNC football program shows off player-exclusive Air Jordan 3 cleats

The UNC football program will take the field in style this season with a special Air Jordan 3.

Being an athlete at the University of North Carolina certainly has its perks, especially with Jordan Brand being a sponsor.

Over the years we have seen athletes show off some awesome player-exclusive shoes from Jordan Brand decked out in UNC colors. And as the football program is getting ready for the upcoming season, they have released photos of their newest player-exclusive shoe.

The classic Air Jordan 3 shoe gets decked out in Carolina Blue, white, and the iconic elephant print on the shoe. Check out a video the football program posted on social media on Monday, showcasing the shoe that they will sport this upcoming season.

The Tar Heels will sport these on the field at some point this season, adding some style to their uniform. With Carolina Blue being showcased on the shoe, it will match any of their uniform combinations they will wear for the upcoming season.

The cleats won’t be available to the public, but if you’re itching to get this colorway, you’re in luck. The Air Jordan 3 “UNC” released in 2020 in a similar colorway with just a few differences. You can pick up a pair on StockX now.

Nike just brought back the greatest Air Jordan sneaker of all time

The Air Jordan 3 is the GOAT

There are plenty of shoes one could call the greatest to ever be created. There’s no cut-and-dry reasoning for any of it.

You could argue that the Adidas Superstar, for example, is the GOAT for perfectly bringing together hip-hop and sneaker culture. Or you could argue the Air Max 1 has that GOAT title because of the innovation that came with it. There are plenty more to argue for and against.

But, personally, I think the Air Jordan 3 holds that title.

This is the shoe that made Jordan Brand before Jordan Brand. Without this sneaker, Michael Jordan might not be who he is. And the Jordan line almost certainly wouldn’t be what it is.

The white cement Air Jordan 3 saved the culture. And, now, it’s back in its OG form. We unbox it on today’s episode of Special Delivery.
