A look at the AFC South standings in Week 13.

There were some changes to the AFC South standings as Week 12 of the regular season came and went. It included some separation at the top of the division.

With five games remaining in the season, here’s how the AFC South standings look entering Week 13:

1. Houston Texans (7-4)

Coming off of an embarrassing loss to the Ravens, the Texans returned home to host the Colts in a primetime matchup. With some big plays to DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller, the Texans offense outlasted a putrid passing performance from the Colts, who had just 121 passing yards as a team.

In Week 13, the Texans have a crucial matchup against the New England Patriots (10-1) at NRG Stadium.

2. Indianapolis Colts (6-5)

They held first place in the division for three days before going on the road and losing a crucial battle against the Texans. The rushing attack was stout (175 yards) and while the defense allowed some explosive plays, the unit still held the Texans to 20 points—a completely winnable game.

The Colts return home hosting the Titans in Week 13 at Lucas Oil Stadium.

3. Tennessee Titans (6-5)

Thanks to another huge rushing performance from Derrick Henry (19-159-2) and a solid outing from Ryan Tannehill, the Titans beat the Jaguars 42-20 for their fourth win in five games, which is exactly when Tannehill took over under center. They are tied with the Colts record-wise but their Week 2 loss to Indy gives the latter the tiebreaker.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-7)

It hasn’t been a great return for Nick Foles as the Jaguars are 0-2 since he came back. The defense has allowed 37.5 points per game since coming out of the bye week. Leonard Founette added two touchdowns to continue his strong campaign, but the Jaguars are falling out of the playoff race quickly.

The Jaguars are at home in Week 13 to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-7) at TIAA Bank Field.

Here’s a look at how the AFC South standings shape up entering Week 12:

1. Indianapolis Colts (6-4)

Ending their two-game skid, the Colts bounced back for a home win against the Jaguars on Sunday, 33-13. Thanks to a big day from the backfield (264 rushing yards) and a superb outing from the defense, the Colts were able to take the top spot in the division from the Texans because they currently hold the tiebreaker from their Week 7 win.

2. Houston Texans (6-4)

Many believed this matchup with the Ravens would be the most exciting of the week. For Ravens fans and those with Lamar Jackson on their fantasy team, it was a great week. For the Texans, not so much. It was a blowout in the true sense of the word as the Ravens won 41-7 on the back of Jackson and the stout defense.

The Texans host the Colts at NRG Stadium on a short week Thursday night.

3. Tennessee Titans (5-5)

The Titans enjoyed their bye week sitting alone in third place. Sitting with a 5-5 record, the Titans are still in striking distance for the division but will need to make a run during the second half.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-6)

Despite the return of Nick Foles, the Jaguars couldn’t get much going on Sunday against the Colts. Wide receiver D.J. Chark had 104 yards and two touchdowns, but the defense couldn’t stop anything against the run as the Colts ran at will.

How do the standings look in Week 11?

As Week 11 begins, the playoff races are beginning to heat up. The Indianapolis Colts took a tumble in the AFC playoff picture following their rough loss against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Even with two of the teams in the division enjoying their bye week, the Colts’ loss at home slid them down the standings in the AFC South all the while giving some breathing room to the leaders.

Here’s how the AFC South standings look entering Week 11:

1. Houston Texans (6-3)

One of the teams that enjoyed their bye week, the Texans gained a half-game in the standings thanks to the Colts’ loss. Now, Houston has a full one-game lead over the Colts in the division and have a chance to control their fate down the stretch of the regular season.

In Week 11, the Texans have a tough matchup on the road against the Baltimore Ravens (7-2).

2. Indianapolis Colts (5-4)

Even with Brian Hoyer replacing the injured Jacoby Brissett, this matchup seemed like a cakewalk. However, it would turn out to be the complete opposite. A bad showing from the offensive line and an even worse showing from Hoyer led the Colts into one their worst upset losses in recent memory.

The Colts host the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-5) at Lucas Oil Stadium in Week 11.

3. Tennessee Titans (5-5)

It seems most of the AFC South has the Kansas City Chiefs’ number. The Titans are the latest team in this division to beat the Chiefs in an upset win. Derrick Henry had another monster game taking 23 carries for 188 yards and two touchdowns while the Titans blocked Harrison Butker’s attempt to tie the game in the final seconds.

The Titans get to enjoy their bye week coming off of a huge home win against one of the best teams in the NFL.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-5)

The Jaguars may be in last place, but they are still just two games behind the leading Texans. They also just go their starting quarterback to return as Nick Foles is ready to take snaps under center for the first time since breaking his collarbone in Week 1.
