ONE Championship starts a new broadcast partnership with its first event on Amazon Prime Video. ONE on Prime Video 1: Moraes vs. Johnson 2 features four muay Thai bouts, and five MMA fights, including a title rematch.

In the main event, Adriano Moraes (20-3) meets Demetrious Johnson (23-4-1) in a rematch for the flyweight title. Moraes became the first fighter to knock out Johnson in their first meeting at ONE on TNT 1 in 2021.

The event takes place at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore and the main card airs on Amazon Prime Video at 10 p.m. ET following prelims on Prime Video at 8 p.m. ET.

The last time Johnson (23-4-1) faced Moraes (20-3) was back in April 2021. The Brazilian put away “Mighty Mouse” in dominant fashion, knocking him out with a devastating knee. It was the first, and only, defeat Johnson experienced since leaving the UFC in 2018.

ONE anunció la revancha el viernes tras una reporte inicial de Ariel Helwani.

Moraes le dio al ex- campeón peso mosca de la UFC su primera derrota cuando lo noqueó con la rodilla durante la segunda ronda del Campeonato ONE en 21 de abril en ONE por TNT 1.Desde entonces ha defendido su título sometiendo a Yuya Wakamatsu en el ONE: X en marzo.

Johnson no ha cometido el peleas de la MMA desde su derrota frente a Moraes, pero probó su suerte en una lucha de reglas especiales contra el luchador muay peso mosca de Tailandia Rodtang Jitmuangnon el pasado septiembre. Johnson se mantuvo en la lucha con Rodtang  en la primera ronda bajo las reglas del Muay tailandés y logró someterlo en la Ronda 2 bajo el reglamento de la MMA.

Reigning champion Moraes (20-3) will defend his flyweight title against Johnson (30-4-1) in the main event of ONE Championship 161, which takes place Aug. 26 (Aug. 27 locally) at Singapore Indoor Stadium and streams live in U.S. primetime on Amazon Prime Video.

ONE announced the rematch Friday after an initial report by Ariel Helwani.

Moraes handed former UFC flyweight champ Johnson his first stoppage loss when he knocked him out with a knee in the second round in April 2021 at ONE on TNT 1. He has since defended his title by submitting Yuya Wakamatsu at ONE: X in March.

Johnson hasn’t competed in an MMA fight since losing to Moraes, but he tried his hand at a special rules bout against ONE muay Thai flyweight champ Rodtang Jitmuangnon this past September. Johnson hung in there with Rodtang in the first round under muay Thai rules and went on to submit him in Round 2 under the MMA ruleset.

Johnson is no stranger to rematches, winning second fights against Ian McCall and Joseph Benavidez in 2012 and 2013, respectively, but losing to Henry Cejudo in his final UFC fight in 2018.

And in the co-main event, former UFC flyweight champion [autotag]Demetrious Johnson[/autotag] steps into an unknown realm against muay Thai champion [autotag]Rodtang Jitmuangnon[/autotag] in a mixed-rules bout scheduled for alternating rounds of muay Thai and MMA.

On Wednesday, competitors of the event, which features muay Thai, kickboxing, submission grappling, mixed rules, and MMA fights, came face-to-face after the pre-fight press conference.

In MMA competition, the main card features two title fights. In the main event, [autotag]Angela Lee[/autotag] will defend her atomweight championship against [autotag]Stamp Fairtex[/autotag] and [autotag]Adriano Moraes[/autotag] will put his flyweight title on the line against [autotag]Yuya Wakamatsu[/autotag]. Also, a long-standing rivalry between Japanese legends [autotag]Shinya Aoki[/autotag] and [autotag]Yoshihiro Akiyama[/autotag] will be settled as they meet in a lightweight contest.

Also in action is former UFC flyweight champion [autotag]Demetrious Johnson[/autotag], who will compete in a hybrid rules fight against [autotag]Rodtang Jitmuangnon[/autotag]. Rounds will be alternated between muay Thai and MMA rules.
