When Notre Dame takes the field against Boston College this afternoon they’ll be doing it short handed on the defensive line as Jayson Ademilola has officially been ruled out.
Notre Dame’s football public relations made the news official roughly 90 minutes before Saturday’s kickoff but reports a knee injury to Ademilola began to surface earlier in the day.

Bryan Driskell of Sports Illustrated reports Ademilola had a minor knee surgery to repair an injury that was sustained last weekend against Clemson and is expected to be out three for three weeks. That obviously leaves the North Carolina game on November 27 very much in question for him.
Expect this injury to mean a heavier dose of both Jacob Lacey, Howard Cross III and perhaps even freshman Rylie Mills at defensive tackle.
Ademilola might not have numbers that pop on the official stat sheet but has been a big reason Notre Dame’s pass rush has been so strong this season.
