Texas A&M 2026 4-star WR commit discussed his early commitment to the Aggies

2026 4-star WR Aaron Gregory is still strongly committed to his pledge with Texas A&M

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class will continue to grow in the coming months, but for coach Mike Elko and his staff this offseason, keeping all ten of the cycle’s commits, including four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory, is key to keeping the momentum flowing.

Last Saturday, Gregory, alongside several 2025 Texas A&M signees, participated in the annual Navy All-American bowl game as one of the younger prospects on the roster, noting his elite ability and future stardom at the next level.

As one of Texas A&M’s earlier 2026 commits, chatter regarding Texas and other programs looking to flip his commitment was unsurprising, but during a recent interview with GigEm247’s Andrew Hattersley, Gregory detailed what keeps his connection to the Aggies strong, including working with wide receiver coach Holmon Wiggins:

“Coach Wiggins is something, man. Real fun coach. Want me to be the greatest. Want me to do my best. He going to push me to do my best. I feel like he is definitely one of the best receiver coaches, if not the best in college right now,” Gregory stated. “He sees a mixture of a lot of DeVonta’s attributes and like Isaiah Bond when he was coaching him. There’s just a lot of different things that he tells me about.”

Wiggins, who has received substantial criticism from the Aggie fan base after missing out on several high-ranking recruits and transfer players since his arrival, is enjoying a redemption tour, especially if he keeps Gregory committed to the program.

“As of right now, I don’t know. I don’t have no feeling towards it,” Gregory stated. “I feel like me and A&M are locked in for good, but things happen.”

This is a good sign, but nothing is definitive until he signs next December.

2026 4-star WR and Texas A&M commit has shined during Navy All-American Bowl practices

2026 4-star wide receiver and Aggie commit Aaron Gregory has shined during the Navy All-American Bowl practices this week

One of Texas A&M’s crown jewels in the 2026 recruiting class has looked the part during the Navy All-American Bowl practices. Four-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory, who committed to the Aggies over two months ago, is living up to his recruiting prowess.

Joining his Douglasville (GA) high school teammate, four-star defensive lineman Jordan Carter, the dynamic duo looks like future stars for the Aggies. However, Gregory is receiving a lot of offseason attention from the Texas Longhorns, as coach Mike Elko and his staff have a potential recruiting battle ahead of them.

This week, Gregory, among several five-star 2025 wide receivers, has stood out for Rivals recruiting insider Sam Spiegelman, who noted the incoming senior’s soft hands, speed, and pristine route running skillset:

“Aaron Gregory is one of the crown jewels of Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class, which has star power to contender for the top spot in the Rivals Team Rankings.”

“Gregory has phenomenal hands and has come down with some eye-popping wow receptions throughout the Navy AAB week. The future Aggie is long and is a smooth operator. He’s been excellent adjusting to the football and showing off his ups and catch radius. He’s continuing to separate himself at the position.”

During his 2024 junior season, Gregory recorded 53 receptions, 914 yards, and nine touchdowns.

According to Rivals, Gregory, the 29th-ranked prospect in the class, is also ranked as the 4th wide receiver and the 4th-ranked prospect in Georgia.

Watch Texas A&M 2026 4-star WR commit show off his impressive speed

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class has indeed gained one of the most intriguing prospects in the cycle

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class will continue to grow heading into next summer. Still, first-year head coach Mike Elko isn’t waiting, taking full advantage of the momentum gained after last weekend’s 38-23 comeback win over LSU.

The victory over the Tigers resulted in three 2026 recruits who attended the game to commit the following day, including 4-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory, who looks like the crown offensive jewel based on his tape and athletic traits alone.

Needing to add a true future No. 1 wide receiver, Gregory definitely possesses the skillset. He recently showed off his impressive speed at 6-3, putting any notion that he is simply a catch-radius-based wide receiver to sleep.

In his most recent game with Douglas Country HS in Douglasville (GA), Gregory was unstoppable after hauling in a short catch off a bubble screen, outrunning every defender to the house or an 88-yard reception in one of the more impressive catches so far this high school season.

After landing Gregory, 4-star DL Jordan Carter, and 4-star linebacker/Edge Samu Moala, Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class is now the 2nd-ranked cycle in the 2026 team rankings.

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class soars in the class rankings after landing 3 commitments

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class is flirting with first place in the 247 class rankings

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class skyrocketed in the 247Sports class rankings less than 24 hours after the Aggies defeated LSU 38-23 behind quarterback Marcel Reed’s second-half surge, as nearly 50 prospects in the 2025, 2026, and 2027 recruiting class were in attendance.

Thanks to the post-game momentum, first-year head coach Mike Elko’s incredible job on the recruiting trail led to landing three consecutive commitments on Sunday afternoon, as 4-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory, 5-star defensive lineman Jordan Carer, and 4-star linebacker Samu Moala announced their intentions just hours apart from each other.

After the said announcements, the Aggies 2026 recruiting class, now seven commitments deep, rose multiple spots all the way to No. 2 in the class rankings, just below the Oregon Ducks, who have all but dominated the recruiting trail due to the program’s rumored “unlimited” NIL fund.

Here are the top 10 247Sports class rankings:

  1. Oregon Ducks (7 commits)
  2. Texas A&M (7 commits)
  3. Florida State (6 commits)
  4. USC (6 commits)
  5. Penn State (6 commits)
  6. Auburn (5 commits)
  7. Tennessee (5 commits)
  8. South Carolina (5 commits)
  9. LSU (5 commits)
  10. Texas (3 commits)

One of the more interesting aspects of the Aggies’ current 2026 class is the position diversity, which includes an Edge rusher (Jordan Carter), a cornerback (Ryan Gilbert), a safety (Markel Ford), a quarterback (Helaman Casuga), a wide receiver (Aaron Gregory), a linebacker (Samu Moala), and a future nose tackle (Trashawn Ruffin).

2026 4-star LB out of Lawndale (CA) has committed to Texas A&M

Texas A&M has landed another 2026 commit, as 4-star linebacker Samu Moala announced his intentions on Sunday night

Boom! Texas A&M’s recruiting momentum is real, as the head coach Mike Elko has landed three 2026 commitments on Sunday, ending the night with an announcement from 4-star linebacker Samu Moala, who joins 4-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory and 4-star Edge Jordan Carter.

Looking like a future Edge rusher at the next level, Moala’s 6-4, 230-pound frame is intriguing.

The junior linebacker has the sideline-to-sideline speed and instincts to be a force against the run, and Texas A&M’s defensive performance against LSU likely influenced his decision to choose the Aggies over Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia.

With his commitment, Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class is now ranked second in the country with seven commitments. The momentum is real and might not slow down this week, as several weekend visitors are rumored to announce their intentions sooner rather than later.

According to 247Sports, Moala is currently positioned as the 160th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 18th-ranked Edge, and the 20th-ranked prospect in California.

2026 4-star Edge out of Douglasville (GA) has committed to Texas A&M

Texas A&M’s 38-23 win over LSU has resulted in two Sunday 2026 commitments, including 4-star Edge Aaron Gregory

Boom! Texas A&M has landed its second 2026 recruiting class commit in the last 24 hours after the Aggies defeated LSU 38-23 on Saturday night, as 4-star Edge Jordan Carter joined his Douglas County HS teammate, 2026 4-star  wide receiver Aaron Gregory as the newest Aggie commits.

The Impact Texas A&M’s win over LSU continues to have on recruits from the 2025, 2026, and 2027 recruiting classes is undeniable, especially future defenders like Carter, who watched the Aggie pass rush dominate the Tigers in the second half, registering two sacks against LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier.

Standing at 6-4 and 235 pounds, Carter’s traits are undeniable. He looks like a perfect fit in Texas A&M’s defense, with added position versatility as a 4i-defensive lineman and a similar role to current sophomore Texas A&M defensive end Rylan Kennedy.

According to 247Sports, Carter is currently positioned as the 41st-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 6th-ranked Edge rusher, and the 4th-ranked prospect in Georgia.

2026 4-star WR out of Douglasville (GA) has committed to Texas A&M

Texas A&M has gained a huge commitment from one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2026 cycle

Boom! Texas A&M has landed a commitment from one of the rising wide receiver prospects in the 2026 recruiting class just a day after the Aggies’ comeback 38-23 win over the LSU Tigers inside a packed Kyle Field.

A favorite to land with the Aggies for the last couple of months, 2026 4-star wide receiver Aaron Gregory committed to the program after attending the game, taking in the over 108,000 fans against the blue-blood Tigers.

With over 40-plus recruits from the 2025, 2026, and 2027 recruiting classes, head coach Mike Elko and his staff made a big impression after mounting one of the biggest comebacks in program history after being down 17-7 at the half.

Gregory, who chose the Aggies over nearly 50 other offers, brings a ton of versatility to the table, having played both offense and defense during his high school career. While his defensive back skills are intriguing, Gregory’s size and speed at 6-3 should add firepower to the future receiving corps.

Gregory is the fourth 2026 Texas A&M commit in the last two weeks, joining 4-star QB Helaman Casuga, 4-star DL Trashawn Ruffin, and his teammate, 4-star Edge Jordan Carter.

2026 3-star QB out of Douglasville (GA) will visit Texas A&M this weekend

One of the rising 2026 QB prospects his headed to College Station this weekend

Despite Texas A&M’s 2024 season-opening loss to Notre Dame, the 2025, 2026, and 2027 recruiting prospects who attended the game were highly impressed with the atmosphere, coaching staff, and overall feel of the program.

This weekend, while the over 100 recruits who descended on campus last weekend won’t reach the same number, plenty of high school talent will attend Texas A&M’s Week 2 matchup against McNeese State on Saturday afternoon, which now includes 2026 3-star QB D.J. Bordeaux.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Bordeaux planned to visit Nebraska before opting to join his Douglas Country teammate, 2026 4-star WR Aaron Gregory, in College Station this weekend, meaning Aggies OC Collin Klein has also been in contact with the rising signal caller over the last month.

Standing at 6-2 and 195 pounds, Bordeaux is a true dual-threat quarterback with quick feet and impressive vision. His arm strength and toughness stand out more than anything concerning his early traits.

According to 247Sports Composite, Bordeaux is currently positioned as the 397th-ranked prospect, the 28th-ranked quarterback prospect, and the 43rd-ranked prospect in Georgia.

Texas A&M will host McNeese on Saturday, Sept. 7, for an early kickoff at 11:45 a.m. The game will air on the SEC Network.
