The 49ERS (+105) may have gotten off to a slow start, but they’ve looked better than the Patriots thus far. They’ve been banged up all over the offense and defense, yet they were still able to knock off the Los Angeles Rams last week. They can still run the ball consistently and should be able to do so against an average Patriots run defense. As long as Patriots head coach Bill Belichick doesn’t completely take away 49ers TE George Kittle, the 49ERS (+105) will win this game.
Against the spread (?)
The 49ers have to travel across the country for this game, which is part of the reason they’re considered underdogs. However, the Patriots offense is really struggling with Cam Newton at quarterback and a host of unproductive receivers. The 49ers should cover the spread in this one, especially considering they’re getting 1.5 points. Take SAN FRANCISCO (-1.5).
Over/Under (?)
The Over/Under of 43.5 is the lowest of the Week 7 slate, which is an indicator of how poorly these offenses are playing and how good their defenses have looked. Despite losing DLs Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas, the 49ers defense has held strong. The total will go OVER on Sunday, but just barely.
