Joe Harris may not participate in 2020 3-Point Contest

Brooklyn Nets sharpshooter Joe Harris has the chance to be a back-to-back 3-point contest champion, but he may pass on the opportunity.

Spencer Dinwiddie may not get the chance to regain his title as the NBA Skills Challenge champion, but Joe Harris has the opportunity to hold onto his NBA All-Star Weekend title.

Harris has received an invite to participate in the 2020 3-Point Contest, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post. However, The Brooklyn Nets sharpshooter and 2019 3-Point Contest champion may not accept the invitation.

Harris may decide to take the time off so his body can recover. He’s had a “grueling summer,” according to Lewis, having traveled to China on two occasions — once for Team USA and once for the Nets — and Africa, as well.

After winning the 2019 3-Point Contest title, Harris finished the 2018-19 season shooting 47.4% from 3-point territory. This year, Harris is shooting 39.9% from 3-point territory through his 46 games played.
