23XI Racing reveals Tyler Reddick’s new Mobil 1 paint scheme for the 2024 NASCAR season. Check out Reddick’s new look for his No. 45 car!

[autotag]Tyler Reddick[/autotag] and [autotag]23XI Racing[/autotag] were so close to winning at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last weekend. Reddick closed the gap to Kyle Larson but could not pass him in the closing laps. It was a disappointing ending for 23XI Racing, but it provided optimism. However, Reddick didn’t lose off the race track with a new paint scheme reveal.

On Wednesday morning, 23XI Racing revealed Reddick’s new Mobil 1 paint scheme for this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway. The No. 45 car is sharp and doesn’t have too much going on with the design. Sometimes, simplicity is good, and on this occasion, the simplistic design gives Reddick a very sharp look.

Reddick, Mobil 1, and 23XI Racing hope the No. 45 car finishes one position higher at Phoenix this weekend. It was an excellent run for Reddick at Las Vegas, but the organization’s expectations are high entering the 2024 season. Reddick and 23XI Racing have the speed to make it happen, as Mobil 1 hopes to be in victory lane.

‘I don’t like running second’ Reddick says after Vegas defeat

Tyler Reddick felt evenly matched with Kyle Larson at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but he needed Larson to be the one in dirty air.

Reddick’s 23XI Racing Toyota Camry was fast enough to chase Larson’s No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet down over the final 10 laps, but he couldn’t do anything with him. Larson air-blocked Reddick and took away the options Reddick had to try to make a pass for victory in the Pennzoil 400.

“We were pretty evenly matched, so I don’t know if there was anything that I really could’ve done to get around him,” Reddick said Sunday after finishing second. “He would have had to make a big mistake or had some traffic kind of knock his wind around. I needed some fortune; I didn’t make any for myself today with mistakes on pit road.

“It’s a solid effort for our team. That’s how we need to run, but I don’t like running second.”

Reddick was over 1s behind Larson with 18 laps to go. He cut the gap to 0.5s with 13 laps to go and was on Larson’s bumper with three laps to go. Over the final laps, Reddick tried different lanes through the corners, hoping to stay out of Larson’s wake. Reddick mostly ran the high lane while Larson kept to the bottom or the middle.

The strategy of knowing he couldn’t follow Larson into a corner got Reddick to his back bumper, but then he could only follow Larson for the final two laps and even gave up trying to go to the high lane. Reddick said Larson took away all of his options.

“Sorry, guys,” a frustrated Reddick said over his team radio after the checkered flag. “We should have won that [expletive] race.”

[lawrence-auto-related count=3 category=1428]

He was also frustrated by pit road. After finishing the first stage in second position to Larson, Reddick lost all of his track position (falling to 16th place) when he slid the front tires entering his pit stall, and the car angled to the left. It was an awkward position to try to exit his stall, and he needed to back up and straighten out before leaving pit road.

“I feel like we were never up front really all day long until it got to the stage ends,” Reddick said. “We had a really good Nasty Beast Toyota Camry. Just stupid mistakes on pit road. Same [expletive], different year. Kind of frustrating. We’ll continue to work on it, but a good rebound for our team today.”

Reddick finished second in both stages and the race. He started from the 18th position.

A caution in the final stage aided the rebound. Reddick closed the gap to 0.5s behind Larson with the drafting help of lapped teammate Bubba Wallace before a round of green flag pit stops with less than 60 laps to go. But Reddick cycled out over 2s behind Larson and was 1.5s behind when the final caution flew with 33 laps to go.

Reddick came off pit road third and lined up behind the No. 5 on the inside lane for the restart. When his initial charge to the inside was blocked by Larson going into Turn 1, Reddick settled into third position before making his way around Ross Chastain for second place with 21 laps to go to be able to focus on chasing Larson for the victory.

“Second sucks, that’s for sure, but we had a really fast Nasty Beast Toyota Camry,” Reddick said. “We should have been up there battling even more than we were throughout the day; just put us behind, unfortunately. We had to fight back through that all day [and] as the field got better, it got harder to get back to the front as quick.

“You have to run up front all day long and when asked about what we need to do to get better, that’s the very thing, and didn’t do it today.”

When asked when the sting would wear off, Reddick said, “It won’t.”

23XI Racing reveals Bubba Wallace’s new MoneyLion paint scheme for 2024

23XI Racing reveals Bubba Wallace’s new MoneyLion paint scheme for 2024. Check out Wallace’s new look with MoneyLion!

The 2024 NASCAR season is officially underway, and [autotag]Bubba Wallace[/autotag] has a good start under his belt. In the Daytona 500, Wallace didn’t show the speed he displayed in the qualifying duels but ended with a fifth-place finish. The driver of the No. 23 car sits fifth in the point standings to begin the year. Now, Wallace has another good development with a sponsor.

On Tuesday night, [autotag]23XI Racing[/autotag] revealed Wallace’s new MoneyLion paint scheme for the 2024 season. The car features a single-colored base with a black number and lettering. The design is not as detailed as the MoneyLion paint scheme from the 2023 season, but the simple look still makes the No. 23 car appear sharp.

MoneyLion hopes Wallace’s good run at the end of the 2023 regular season and the start of the playoffs continues into the new year. In fact, Wallace’s good start at the Daytona 500 brings hopes that a winless season in 2023 can turn into a successful 2024. Wallace seeks to bring speed to Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend, looking for his first victory of the season.

23XI Racing reveals Tyler Reddick’s new Jordan Brand paint scheme

23XI Racing has revealed Tyler Reddick’s new Jordan Brand paint scheme for the 2024 NASCAR season. Check out the new and improved look!

[autotag]23XI Racing[/autotag] is one of NASCAR’s most popular organizations despite debuting in 2021. The team has been an amazing addition to the Cup Series garage, led by Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin and NBA legend Michael Jordan. In fact, 2024 will be the first time that 23XI Racing’s lineup remains the same for a second straight year. Now, a new paint scheme for one of its drivers is on the way.

On Thursday morning, 23XI Racing revealed a new Jordan Brand paint scheme for [autotag]Tyler Reddick[/autotag], which is phenomenal. The paint scheme features Jordan Brand colors with a logo and design on the top of the car that resembles Kurt Busch’s paint scheme in his last victory at Kansas Speedway in 2022. Overall, this is one of the best paint schemes revealed during the offseason.

Jordan has put a lot of time into 23XI Racing as he continues to take NASCAR seriously. Sponsoring Reddick shows his belief that he can be a winning driver every week. After making the Round of 8, the driver of the No. 45 car is pushing for something more than last year. Reddick knows he has the talent to be a championship-level driver, and everyone at 23XI Racing has the same mindset.

Toyota teases potential plans for 23XI Racing’s No. 67 Cup car in 2024

Toyota teases that 23XI Racing’s third entry, the No. 67 car, could run some races in 2024. What should 23XI Racing do with the No. 67 car?

[autotag]23XI Racing[/autotag] has two full-time entries in the NASCAR Cup Series; however, they have entered a third, part-time car into a few races. In 2023, Travis Pastrana drove the No. 67 car at the Daytona 500, while Kamui Kobayashi piloted the entry at the Indianapolis Road Course. Going into 2024, there haven’t been any announcements, but Toyota has teased the possibility.

According to CBS Sports’ Steven Taranto, Toyota Racing Development president David Wilson said, “Stay tuned,” when asked about the potential plans for the No. 67 car in 2024. Only Pastrana and Kobayashi have driven the entry, but there are several opportunities for drivers to compete in the entry if sponsorship and personnel work out.

The easiest sell for 23XI Racing should be road courses like the Chicago Street Course or Circuit of the Americas. The organization should push for Pastrana’s return to a superspeedway while signing an international driver to the Chicago Street Course. Every manufacturer has their version of a “PROJECT 91” entry, and Toyota seems to have plans in the works for the No. 67 car.

[autotag]23XI Racing[/autotag] debuted at the start of the 2021 NASCAR season and has grown into a race-winning organization. Over the last three seasons, 23XI Racing has had at least one win with the last two years having at least two victories. The 2024 season will represent the first time that the organization’s driver lineup doesn’t change. However, there will still be another modification.

On Wednesday morning, 23XI Racing released a video on X that features a newly designed logo for the 2024 NASCAR season and beyond. The logo can be found in the post linked below. The reactions from race fans in the post appear to show that it’s a mixed bag of emotions. Overall, it is very clean and represents a new era.

Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick could see the font of their numbers change in 2024. Due to the new logo, it would be smart to redesign the numbers to match the new layout. 23XI Racing is the only team to have changed its logo during the 2023 NASCAR offseason; however, there could be more exciting announcements on the way as the news cycle has been unpredictable.

Tyler Reddick to race in Air Jordan 5 ‘grape’ inspired car

23XI Racing driver Tyler Reddick will race in an Air Jordan 5 inspired paint scheme for Sunday’s race in Charlotte.

The NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs continue this weekend with Sunday’s race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course and with it being in Charlotte, 23XI Racing is paying homage to a retro Air Jordan.

The team, owned by Michael Jordan, announced that driver Tyler Reddick will drive a special Air Jordan 5 “Grape” paint scheme for his car. Reddick is one of two drivers for Jordan’s team, joining Bubba Wallace. The paint scheme also resembles the Charlotte Hornets colors.

Both Reddick and Wallace are on the bubble to advance to the next round, sitting at No. 9 and No. 10. The Top 8 after Sunday’s race move on to the final stage.

The paint scheme pays homage to the “alternate grape” colorway of the Air Jordan 5. The grape colorway features less purple on it compared to the alternate version.

Both Reddick and Wallace will need good finishes to advance on.
