2026 4-star WR out of Texarkana (TX) is currently visiting Texas A&M

Texas A&M is currently hosting one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2026 cycle

This weekend is a busy one for Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko and his staff, as a litany of 2025 and 2026 prospects have made their way to College Station for unofficial and official visits.

Standing out the most, 2025 5-star safety Trey McNutt visited on Thursday, just days after pushing his commitment Date to early next month while representing the 2026 cycle, 4-star wide receiver Dequane Prevo has arrived on the campus for his second visit within the last two months.

Over a week ago, Prevo revealed that he will announce his commitment on Tuesday, July 30. He will choose between Penn State, USC, Arkansas, Baylor, and Texas A&M, and according to several recruiting analysts, the Aggies remain in the lead.

One of the top playmakers in the cycle, Prevo has been on A&M’s radar for quite some time, going back to former head coach Jimbo Fisher’s offer to him during the 2022 season. With two commitments in the 2026 class, Prevo would become the highest-ranked of all three if he chooses the Aggies in four days.

According to 247Sports, Prevo, who is 5’10” and 160 pounds, is currently the 16th-ranked athlete and the 32nd-ranked prospect in Texas.

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class could see a boost from one of the top playmakers in the cycle

Mike Elko’s recruiting success should continue into the next offseason. The former Duke head coach and Texas A&M defensive coordinator has proven to be one of the more consistent recruiters throughout his coaching career. Already securing 19 commitments in the 2025 cycle, Elko’s focus will soon turn to the 2026 recruiting class.

One of the top playmakers in the cycle, 2026 4-star wide receiver Dequane Provo out of Texarkana, Texas, has been atop A&M’s radar for quite some time, going back to former head coach Jimbo Fisher offering him during the 2022 season.

Since then, Prevo has taken several unofficial visits to College Station; his recent trek to Aggieland included participating in one of Mike Elko’s various summer camps last month. While most prospects wait until the start of their final high school season to make their decision, Prevo is ready to announce at the end of this month.

On Tuesday, Prevo revealed that he will announce his commitment on Thursday, July 30. In two weeks, he will choose between Penn State, USC, Arkansas, Baylor, and Texas A&M.

According to 247Sports, Prevo, who is 5’10” and 160 pounds, is currently the 16th-ranked athlete and the 32nd-ranked prospect in Texas.

Texas A&M recently hosted 2026 4-star WR out of Texarkana (TX)

2026 4-star wide receiver Dequane Prevo is coming off a camp invite/visit to Texas A&M

While Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class has continued to take shape this offseason, head coach Mike Elko and his offensive staff are focused on adding future playmakers in the passing game, which includes a 2026 wide receiver with plenty to offer on the field.

Last Thursday, four-star wide receiver Dequane Prevo, out of the 2026 recruiting cycle, attended one of Texas A&M’s annual summer camps while meeting with Elko to discuss his future. The Texarkana (TX) native is set to enter his junior season at Liberty-Eylau HS.

Dequane Prevo, a 2026 wide receiver prospect, is a standout in the making. At 5’10” and 160 pounds, he’s a dynamic player with the potential to add more weight to his frame. Already a force to be reckoned with on the field, Prevo’s agility and speed make him a top choice for Texas A&M, as predicted by multiple analysts.

As a two-sport athlete, playing basketball and participating in multiple events in Track & Field, Prevo’s speed is undeniable, running a reported 22.77 200-meter dash at the end of the 2023 season.

According to 247Sports, Prevo is currently positioned as the 245th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 16th-ranked athlete, and the 32nd-ranked prospect in Texas.

2026 4-star WR out of Texarkana (TX) will visit Texas A&M this month

2026 4-star wide receiver Dequane Prevo will reportedly visit College Station next weekend

While Mike Elko and his staff are laser-focused on building the Aggies’ 2025 recruiting class this summer, making progress with the 2026 recruiting cycle is equally important. Plenty of 2026 talent, including four-star wide receiver Dequane Prevo, is headed to College Station this month.

Out of Texarkana (TX), Prevo is a twitchy, versatile athlete who will likely transition to full-time wide receiver at the next level. At 5’10 and just 160 pounds, Prevo will need to add healthy mass to take hits, especially if SEC play is in his future.

This week, Prevo announced that he will visit Texas A&M on Thursday, June 20. The incoming junior at Liberty-Eylau HS has already received a prediction to land with the Aggies, as former A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher had already had an eye on Prevo since his freshman season.

On the field, his play speaks for itself, and his speed on the track answers any lingering questions regarding his athleticism. At the end of his 2023 season, he ran a reported 22.77 200-meter dash.

According to 247Sports, Prevo is currently positioned as the 245th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 16th-ranked athlete, and the 32nd-ranked prospect in Texas.
