Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class could see several flips over the next five days, as Early Signing Day is set for Dec. 4, but as of Friday, the Aggies have gained their replacement for 5-star QB Husan Longstreet, who flipped to USC earlier this month.
On Friday morning, Texas A&M gained a commitment from 2026 4-star Brady Hart, who flipped from Michigan after 2025 5-star QB Bryce Underwood to the Wolverines from LSU just a week ago. After losing Longstreet to his hometown Trojans, gaining any QB flip seemed highly unlikely.
Even better news: Hart will reclassify to the 2025 class and plans to sign with the Aggies next week. He will bring his big arm and high intellect to a quarterback room that could see some attrition this offseason.
No matter how the Aggies season ends, one name to watch in the coming months is redshirt sophomore quarterback Conner Weigman, who could enter the transfer portal this offseason after being benched for current and future starter Marcel Reed.
If that happens, Texas A&M’s 2025 QB room would consist of Marcel Reed, Miles O’Neill, Brady Hart, and a transfer portal addition if needed.
In an interview with ESPN, Hart noted his excitement to start his collegiate career under head coach Mike Elko and OC Collin Klein, both entering their second season in 2025:
“I’ve had a fair share of schools ask me to reclass these past couple of months,” Smith stated. “I felt like I’m mentally ready to go to school and start the next step of all this. I just felt A&M was just the perfect place.”
No. 19 Texas A&M will host No. 3 Texas on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 6:30 pm. CT. The game will air on ABC.
