Hall of Fame committee reportedly makes decision on Patriots owner Robert Kraft

Robert Kraft gets snubbed, again

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has reportedly been snubbed once again from a chance to be immortalized in Canton.

Per ESPN’s Don Van Natta Jr., despite being among the favorites to be inducted, Kraft was passed over by the committee for a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

It’s a devastating blow to the 83-year-old owner and six-time Super Bowl champion.

According to Van Natta Jr., the decision was ultimately made on November 12 and will officially be revealed to the public next month.

Back in September, an ESPN report came out that Kraft questioned Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones being inducted ahead of him.

“He hasn’t been to the NFC title game in two decades and he gets in?” Kraft told a confidant, via Van Natta Jr. in the ESPN report. “How does that work?”

Now, Kraft is reportedly being passed over for names such as Ralph Hay, an NFL co-founder and former Canton Bulldogs owner. Being snubbed for a 13th time doesn’t lead to much hope that the Patriots owner will be getting in anytime soon.

Four Patriots legends named as Hall of Fame semifinalists

Four former Patriots players made the list of 25 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Four New England Patriots legends have made it to the semifinal round for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

Safety Rodney Harrison, kicker Adam Vinatieri, defensive tackle Vince Wilfork and running back Fred Taylor have all made it to the next round

Harrison was one of the most dominant safeties in the Patriots’ franchise history. He recorded 446 tackles and nine sacks throughout six seasons with New England. He had 125 tackles in his first year with the team in 2003. He followed that up with 141 tackles in 2004.

Vinatieri, who played in the league for 24 years, was one of the greatest kickers in NFL history. He played in 160 games with the Patriots and made 263-of-321 field goals. He also made 367-of-374 extra points.

The game-winning kicks in Super Bowl XXXVI and XXXVIII cemented him as both an NFL and Patriots legend.

Wilfork was a staple of the Patriots’ defensive line for many seasons. He was a playmaker on the interior and amassed 517 tackles and 16 sacks in 11 years with the team. He made the Pro Bowl five times as a member of the organization and was a fan favorite.

Taylor was a part of Patriots history as well. He joined the team for two seasons in 2009-2010. He carried the ball 106 times for 424 yards and four touchdowns during his run in New England.

However, the Florida legend is best known for his time with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had 11,271 rushing yards and 62 touchdowns in his 11-year run in Jacksonville.

The next step in the Hall of Fame process will be cutting the list of 25 semifinalists down to 15 finalists. We’ll see how many, if any, Patriots players make the cut this time around.

Robert Kraft moves one step closer in Hall of Fame bid

Robert Kraft is getting another shot at being inducted into the Hall of Fame

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was named as a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 on Wednesday. Kraft was among nine other names who made it to the semifinal round.

K.S. “Bud” Adams, Ralph Hay, Frank Kilroy, Art Modell, Art Rooney Jr., Seymour Siwoff, Doug Williams and John Wooten were the others selected.

Kraft has long sought entry into the Hall of Fame. It was reported in September that he took issue with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones making it into the Hall of Fame, while he remained on the outs.

Now, Kraft has a chance to earn his place in history. The Patriots’ owner was previously named a Hall of Fame semifinalist last summer, but he ultimately did not get in.

This could be the chance for Kraft to finally break through into the Hall of Fame. The Patriots have enjoyed a unique run of success ever since he took ownership in 1994. He managed to help shape the landscape for a team that went on to forge the greatest dynasty in NFL history.

Plenty of worthy Patriots legends nominated for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025

The nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 were announced on Wednesday, and 12 New England Patriots players made the cut.

Those names on the list include the following: Corey Dillon, Wes Welker, Ben Coates, Bruce Armstrong, Logan Mankins, Vince Wilfork, Tedy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, Willie McGinest, Rodney Harrison, Aqib Talib and kicker Adam Vinatieri.

Dillon, Welker, Mankins, Wilfork, Bruschi, Vrabel, McGinest, Harrison and Vinatieri were all part of the successful Patriots dynasties of the early 2000s. Coates and Armstrong helped build the foundational pillars of the organization in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Talib played for the Patriots for two seasons in 2012 and 2013. He was an important part of the secondary and managed to have an All-Pro season in his final year with the team.

This is a solid representation of Patriots players throughout the early and middle part of the century. It just reaffirms how much talent the organization had over the years as they were building a dynasty that spanned nearly two decades.
