NFL Combine results for possible Titans draft picks at WR

The NFL Combine results of wide receiver prospects who could get drafted by the Titans on Day 1 or 2 of the 2024 NFL draft.

The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine continued on Saturday and one position that is of particular interest to the Tennessee Titans, wide receiver, took part in on-field drills.

Two of the most notable names at the position in this year’s class did not take part, a list that includes Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and LSU wideout Malik Nabers, who did not do measurements, either.

Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze, who is a possibility for the Titans at No. 7 overall, did everything and even created an awesome moment after staying on the field longer than any other receiver prospect in order to hit a 6.6-second time on the three-cone drill.

With the Titans fully expected to come away with at least one receiver in the 2024 NFL draft, we’re taking a look at the combine results of prospects who could be drafted by Tennessee in the first two rounds.

Of course, projecting where any prospect will land is a difficult task and will always vary, depending on who you ask. In order to compile this list, I took into account projections from different draft experts.

In case you don’t see someone you think should be on this list, you can find full combine results on NFL.com. The wingspan results for each player are courtesy of Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports.

Note: Yes, Marvin Harrison Jr. is on here, but no, I don’t expect him to fall to the Titans at No. 7.

The fastest 40-yard dashes run at the 2024 NFL combine, including Xavier Worthy’s record-breaker

The 10 speediest 40-yard dashes at the 2024 NFL combine.

The 2024 NFL combine had, as expected, a TON of speed.

We saw some truly fast players run the 40-yard dash, including one who broke the record by 0.01 seconds, joining a list of notable names who turned heads in Indianapolis. Although it doesn’t guarantee NFL success, speed can only boost a player’s draft stock.

So as we get set for the annual pre-draft event to end, it’s a good time to look back at the fastest players we saw run the 40 throughout the week, with receivers, cornerbacks and running backs making it to the list.

Here you go, with the highlights of their runs to go along with it:

Xavier Weaver doesn’t participate in NFL scouting combine drills

Xavier Weaver didn’t participate in Saturday’s NFL scouting combine drills

Former Colorado Buffaloes football wide receiver Xavier Weaver did not participate in on-field drills at the NFL scouting combine on Saturday for unknown reasons. Weaver was Colorado’s only invitee to this year’s combine.

The Buffs’ leading receiver in 2023, Weaver did go through body measurements and took interviews during his time in Indianapolis. Weaver’s height was officially measured at 6 feet, but he was lighter than the 180 pounds he was listed at before the season, weighing in at 169 pounds.

It looked as though Weaver was in good spirits during the combine, as he could be seen cheering on his fellow wide receivers during their drills.

During his media availability, Weaver was asked how it felt to be repping CU at the NFL combine (h/t Scotty Gange of 9News):

“I keep saying it’s a blessing, but that’s really all I can say,” Weaver told Gange. “A kid from Orlando, Florida, I’m not even supposed to be here coming out of the private school I came from.”

How to watch the NFL combine: Sunday, March 3

Olu Fashanu headlines the final day of the NFL combine as offensive linemen hit the field.

The NFL combine wraps up this year’s event in Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon when the nation’s top offensive linemen go through the combine circuit. Among those participating in the final day of the combine will be Penn State offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu, a potential top-10 draft pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL draft. But he will not be the only Penn State linemen in action today. Caedan Wallace and Hunter Nourzad will hope to give their draft stock a boost as well.

Here is everything you need to know about the NFL combine for today and what to watch from the former Penn State players in attendance for the day’s workouts.

2024 NFL combine: Tracking the results of Penn State’s prospects

We are keeping tabs on all of the NFL combine results of Penn State players in Indianapolis.

Penn State sent 10 players to this year’s NFL combine in Indianapolis and it did not take long to leave a mark on the NFL scouting world. Defensive end Chop Robinson set the combine on fire with his 40-yard dash time as he looked to improve his outlook for a potential first-round draft pick. So the first day of the combine was quite electric for Penn State football going to the next level.

Olu Fashanu is Penn State’s top draft prospect in the 2024 NFL draft. Adisa Isaac and Curtis Jacobs were among the players looking to follow up strong showings in the college football all-star games after the season. Meanwhile, Kalen King was a player looking to redeem his draft profile a bit after a shaky finish to the season and all-star game performance.

Here is a quick rundown of how every Penn State player at the NFL combine measured up and performed.

What six quarterbacks said about meeting the Commanders at the NFL combine

What did the six quarterbacks who met with the Commanders say about them?

The Commanders met with six rookie quarterbacks at this week’s NFL Scouting combine in Indianapolis.

Adam Schefter raised fears of Commanders’ fans through his carefully worded tweet, informing his readers that owner Josh Harris was participating in those interviews.

However, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post pointed out that interestingly enough, none of the six quarterbacks supposedly interviewed by Harris, even mentioned Harris in their post interview statements with the media.

What did the six quarterbacks actually express to the media following their interviews?

6 takeaways from the quarterbacks, wide receivers, running back performances at 2024 NFL Combine

This is going to be another outstanding class of wide receivers.

The most exciting day from a fan perspective at the annual NFL combine is when the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers take the field for on-field workouts.

At the 2024 NFL combine, some excitement was lessened when top quarterbacks Caleb Williams, Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels chose not to participate in workouts or throwing sessions.

There was also the talk that this year’s running back class wasn’t deep, while the wide receivers were again a deep group.

The receivers did put on a show on Saturday. So did the running backs. The Washington Commanders need a quarterback and another wide receiver. Washington could also use a change-of-pace, third-down back.

So, what stood out from Saturday’s workouts?

Here are six takeaways from the QBs, WRs and RBs on Saturday.

2024 NFL Combine results

2023 NFL Combine measurements

The 2024 NFL combine is in the books for the fantasy positions of quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends. The below results have highlighted players that are considered at the top of their position entering the combine. This draft class is expected to be wideout-rich, but a weaker set of running backs and tight ends, and with the typical handful of quarterbacks that may show up as a rookie.

The talk of the combine wasn’t quarterbacks as many opted out of the 40-yard dash and other drills. Audric Estime from Notre Dame did himself no favors running a position worse 4.72 40-time that will carry weight into the draft process, regardless of his success in college.

More than any other single player, the Texas Longhorn Xavier Worthy turned in a all-time combine record of 4.21 in the 40-yard dash that should propel him into the first round. In the end, drill timings are interesting but not a predictor of future success. This is the first time that reliable, objective measurements have been made for these rookies.
