What else remains for the Boston Celtics to prepare for the 2024 NBA Playoffs?

Do they need to get healthy? Should they focus on momentum heading into the postseason?

The Boston Celtics have won at least 60 games for the first time since the 2007-08 season that saw the Celtics hang Banner 17 with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Rajon Rondo. The Celtics also own the best regular season record for the NBA’s 2023-24 season, securing home court advantage all the way to the 2024 NBA Finals, should Boston be so fortunate as to get there.

What else remains for the Celtics to prepare for the 2024 NBA Playoffs? Do they need to get healthy? Should they focus on momentum heading into the postseason? And who does it look like they will be playing?

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Bob Ryan, Jeff Goodman, and Gary Tanguay” podcast recently weighed in on all things Boston and postseason. Check out the clip below to hear their thoughts.

How concerned are you with the Boston Celtics heading into the postseason?

Are we simply counting off the days before another disappointment, or will Boston start to grow as a ball club?

That the Boston Celtics dropped a game at State Farm Arena to the Atlanta Hawks on this past Monday is excusable, if annoyingly familiar to similar collapses that have given Celtics fans pause. But for the Celtics to lose consecutive games to a Hawks roster with more players out injured than an entire starting lineup is the sort of thing to spark panic among some fans.

And it has, if a measured, contextual panic over how Boston will play when they find themselves in a tight game in the 2024 NBA Playoffs. Are we simply counting off the days before another disappointment, or will Boston start to grow as a ball club? The eponymous hosts of the CLNS Media “Bob Ryan, Jeff Goodman, and Gary Tanguay!” podcast weighed in on their level of panic on a recent episode.

What might the impact of Joel Embiid’s return be on the Boston Celtics’ postseason push?

Embiid is looking very mobile and comfortable being so; could he be a major problem for Boston’s postseason plans?

Before his return to the court against the Oklahoma City Thunder on this past Tuesday night, there was plenty of speculation about the sort of condition that Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid might be in after missing roughly two months to a meniscus injury.

But after looking very mobile and comfortable being so on his way to putting up 24 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals in just 29 minutes of floor time, it is pretty clear that Embiid’s impact on the Eastern Conference playoffs will not be minor. What does this mean for the Boston Celtics‘ postseason aspirations, given the Sixers could easily end up being the Celtics’ first round playoff opponent?

The hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast, Alex Goldberg, Cameron Tabatabaie, and Justin Quinn, took a closer look at what a potential Sixers-Celtics series might look in a conversation with guest Ky Carlin of Sixers Wire. Check it out below!

Celtics Lab 248: On the impact of Joel Embiid’s return on the Boston Celtics’ playoff picture with Ky Carlin

Everything seems to be aligning for Boston to make a deep postseason run fans hope ends in a title. At least, save one.

The Boston Celtics have all but locked up the top spot in the league, as well as home court in the East heading into the 2024 NBA Playoffs. Everything seems to be aligning for Boston to make a deep postseason run fans hope ends in a title.

At least, save one. It seems the path back to the finals might have just gotten considerably tougher for the Celtics with word that Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid is set to return to the court. The perennial MVP candidate will have to play his way into shape as the regular season winds down, but at least as things stands at the time of writing, the Sixers are the leading candidates to face Boston in the first round.

To find out where Embiid and Co. are in terms of health and play, the hosts of the “Celtics Lab” podcast sat down with Sixers Wire editor Ky Carlin to talk all things Philadelphia – Boston.

We also touch on the other likely candidates and get caught up on what little news is still percolating up in the final weeks of the 2024 stretch run.

Boston’s first round playoff opponent mix getting tougher with news Joel Embiid will return

Could the Celtics’ first round matchup be more challenging than anyone expected?

The Boston Celtics showed us last week that not only can the Atlanta Hawks beat them despite being out a significant chunk of their best players at State Farm Arena. They showed us that they can do it more than once. Which is not the sort of thing that fans of the Celtics want to think about, given the Hawks could be Boston’s first round opponent pending the results of the league’s 2024 play-in tournament.

The Philadelphia 76ers announced that star big man Joel Embiid will return before the end of the NBA’ 2023-24 regular season, spicing up the potential first round matchup mix even more. In light of blowing a 30-point deficit, then losing to Atlanta again, could the Celtics’ first round matchup be more challenging than anyone expected?

The hosts of the CLNS Media “The Big Three NBA” podcast, A. Sherrod Blakely, Gary Washburn, and Kwani Lunis, took a closer look on a recent episode. Check it out below!

What are the Boston Celtics’ biggest concerns heading into the 2024 NBA Playoffs?

Should we be worried about the Celtics’ recent collapse of their 30-point lead to lose to the Atlanta Hawks?

What are the Boston Celtics’ biggest concerns heading into the 2024 NBA Playoffs? Should we be worried about the Celtics’ recent collapse of their 30-point lead to lose to the Atlanta Hawks?
