On Wednesday, it was made official that Alabama would take on North Carolina as a part of the SEC/ACC Challenge.

The Alabama Crimson Tide men’s basketball team found out who its opponent would be for the SEC/ACC Challenge on Wednesday. The Crimson Tide will travel to Chapel Hill on December 4 to take on North Carolina.

Alabama defeated North Carolina in the Elite Eight this past season. The Crimson Tide defeated the No. 1-seeded Tar Heels to advance to its first Final Four appearance in program history.

This season’s game between the two blue-blood programs will be surrounded with a lot of buzz as well. Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels are eager for an opportunity to take down the Crimson Tide after their season was cut short a season ago.

According to CBSSports’ Jon Rothstein, Alabama and Purdue are close to finalizing a home-and-home series that would begin in 2024.

If any one thought that the Alabama Crimson Tide men’s basketball team was done finalizing their non-conference schedule, they would be wrong. The Crimson Tide are finalizing a home-and-home series with the Purdue Boilermakers. According to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, the series would begin at Purdue’s Mackey Arena next season. There will be a return game in Tuscaloosa in 2025.

Interestingly enough, Purdue and Alabama met during the 2023-2024 season. The Boilermakers prevailed 92-86 over the Crimson Tide. Now, Alabama will have an opportunity to return the favor in West Lafayette in 2024.

Alabama will have a new-looking roster next season that will contain four high school signees and four incoming transfers. Purdue will look different without big man Zach Edey on their roster. It will be intriguing to see how both teams fair one season removed from a Final Four appearance.

The Alabama Crimson Tide men’s basketball team will play the Illinois Fighting Illini in Birmingham during the 2024-2025 season.

The Alabama Crimson Tide men’s basketball program has scheduled a series against the Illinois Fighting Illini. In December of 2024, the Fighting Illini will make the trip from Champagne to Birmingham, Alabama to take on the Crimson Tide. In 2025, Alabama will travel north to Chicago to return the back end of the series.

Both Alabama and Illinois reached the NCAA Tournament this past season. The Fighting Illini fell in the Elite Eight against UConn. The Crimson Tide suffered a season-ending loss against UConn in the Final Four.

It will be interesting to see which program is able to come away with a victory in the Magic City.

The Alabama men’s basketball team will be traveling to Las Vegas for a first-of-its kind tournament!

According to CBS Sports senior writer and analyst Matt Norlander, the Alabama Crimson Tide is one of several teams that are set to participate in the Players Era Festival during the 2024-2025 season. The event will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada during the week of Thanksgiving.

The seven other teams that have been confirmed to be participating in the tournament are San Diego State, Houston, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oregon Ducks, Texas A&M Aggies, and Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Alabama is ranked as the No. 1 team in On3’s way-too-early Top-25 rankings. The Crimson Tide are expected to bring in four signees as well as four transfers for next season. In addition, Nate Oats’ squad could see as many as five players return from last year’s Final Four team. This should be a good tournament for the Crimson Tide to boost their resume and strenthen their confidence heading into conference play.
