The Brooklyn Nets, along with the other 29 teams in the NBA, will be participating in the first-ever in-season tournament in the history of the league. The details about the tournament and its mechanics have been announced already and now, we know the exact date and matchups of teams competing for the tournament championship.
Essentially, both conferences are split into three groups with five teams in each group. For example, the Nets are in group C of the Eastern Conference and the other teams in the group are the Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, and the Orlando Magic. Each team plays four games within the group and the team with the most wins within the group will advance to the knockout stage.
All of the teams will be competing as part of the regular-season schedule and if they make it far enough in the tournament, they will travel to Las Vegas to battle for the prize of the NBA Cup and for various cash prizes for the players.
