2023 Minnesota Vikings Super Bowl odds with conference, division and win total best bets

Analyzing 2023 NFL Super Bowl odds for the Minnesota Vikings, including best bets for win total, conference and division titles.

The Minnesota Vikings were extremely fortunate last season. The team finished the regular season 13-4 with 11 of those wins coming by 8 points or less. Despite the lofty record, the Vikings were outscored by their opponents 427 to 424. The luck of the Vikings ran out in the Wild Card Game when they were defeated at home by the New York Giants 31-24. This came just weeks after the Vikings beat the Giants on a last second 61-yard field goal.

The Vikings lost several players from last season’s team this offseason, including WR Adam Thielen and TE Irv Smith Jr., DL Dalvin Tomlinson and CB Patrick Peterson. Plus, the defense needs major upgrades after finishing last season tied for 28th in points allowed per game (25.1).

The NFL Draft saw the Vikings replace Thielen with WR Jordan Addison from USC and replace Peterson with SS Jay Ward of LSU. If these players can contribute as rookies, the losses could be outweighed by the gains made. Another key will be the Vikings usage of RBs Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison. If Cook is still on the team come Week 1, the duo could be one of the best producers in the NFL. If Cook is released or traded in the coming weeks, Mattison will need to prove the Vikings were right in awarding him a 2-year extension this offseason.

Below, we look at the Minnesota Vikings’ 2023 NFL Super Bowl odds from FanDuel Sportsbook along with projected win total, playoff, conference and division odds as we make our best NFL picks and predictions.

Vikings over/under win total

Odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook  – last updated May 17 at 5:31 a.m. ET; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list.

  • 8.5 wins: (Over: -115 | Under: -105)

After winning 13 games last season, the Vikings are expected to have regression in 2023-24. With the Lions taking over as the betting favorite for the division and the Bears looking to get better, the Vikings are the forgotten team in the NFC North. Even the Packers and new QB Jordan Love are getting more attention. This has done wonders for the Vikings’ odds.

At just 8.5 wins, and -115, this is a great number for the NFC North champs from last season.

While the defense needs to get better, the cross-division games of the NFC South and AFC West have some matchups which should be victories.

While the Vikings, as the NFC North’s 1st-place team from 2022-23 will face the Eagles and 49ers, they have plenty of winnable games and 8.5 is a number they should hit.

TAKE OVER 8.5 WINS (-115).

Vikings Super Bowl odds

  • +4000 (bet $100 to win $4,000)

With teams like the Jets (+1400) and Ravens (+1800) having better Super Bowl odds and even the Pakers (-400) having the same odds as the Vikings, Minnesota’s number is far too low. But this doesn’t mean a bet should be made on the Vikings.

Until they can prove their defense can stop anyone, the chances of QB Kirk Cousins leading them further than the Wild Card Round is impossible to predict.

While the odds are good, a wager is better made on the Seattle Seahawks (+400) at the same odds.

PASS on betting Minnesota (+4000) to win the Super Bowl unless the number climbs to +5000 or higher.

Will the Vikings make the playoffs?

  • Yes +116 | No -142

As with the wins bet, the fact the Lions and Bears are both getting public money has made this good value for the Vikings.

The NFC is watered down, and the Vikings have a good chance to remain in playoff contention in 2023-24.

With only one team from the NFC South likely to make the playoffs, it could come down to the Vikings and Bears for the final spot. With Cousins and WR Justin Jefferson having the connection and talent advantage, the Vikings should win that battle. Getting Yes at a plus (+) number makes it even better.

If a bet is to be made, it should be YES (+116).

Odds to win NFC North Division

  • Lions +145 (bet $100 to win $145)
  • Vikings +310 (bet $100 to win $310)
  • Bears +350 (bet $100 to win $350)
  • Packers +350 (bet $100 to win $350)

The odds in the NFC North are the closest for any division. This considers the belief in the Lions as well as the uncertainty surrounding all the teams.

After winning the division last season, the Vikings are not the favorites. The +310 number being offered is wonderful value for the defending champs.

Everyone loves the Lions, but if they fail to achieve as most think they will, the Vikings are in the best spot to take advantage. Getting MINNESOTA at +310 to claim the NFC North crown is solid and a wager worth making.

Vikings odds to win NFC

  • +1700 (bet $100 to win $1,700)

Coming in just behind the Seahawks (+1400) and just ahead of the Packers (+1800), the Vikings are in the perfect position for the level of value in this bet.

Ahead of teams like the Bears (+2500), Panthers (+3000) and the Buccaneers (+4000), the Vikings will still need to get the best of the Eagles (+330) and 49ers (+350) to make it out of the conference.

With these 2 teams being ahead of Minnesota in odds and talent, this would be a difficult wager to make confidently.

If you like the long shot wager, the Vikings (+1700) could be your play, but there are much better options and this is another Minnesota wager worth PASSING on.
