MSU sweeps Canisius, improves to 5-1

The 2023-24 hockey season is off and running and the Spartans have had one of the best possible starts to Adam Nightingale’s second season as the head of the MSU hockey program. The hot start continued this past weekend when the Spartans downed Canisius in back to back games.

MSU has been picked to finish third in Big Ten for 2023-24

Michigan State is looking like it is going to contend for the Big Ten hockey championship in 2023-24. Spartans head coach Adam Nightingale is seemingly building something special in East Lansing, having the Michigan State hockey program recruiting on all cylinders. After a successful first season at the helm, many believe the Spartans are poised for another big step forward.

The Spartans are ranked No. 9 in the preseason poll released by USCHO, and now it has been released that the media has picked the Spartans to finish third in the Big Ten:

Michigan State hockey releases 2023-24 schedule

Michigan State hockey released its schedule for the 2023-24 season:

The Spartans are heading into year two of the Adam Nightingale era, an era of Spartan hockey that appears to be very promising. In year one, Nightingale led the Spartans to the NCAA Tournament bubble, with a record of 18-18-2, MSU had its most competitive season in a longtime.

Now in year two, with some massive transfer additions and roster improvements, there is a lot to be excited for and for the hope that the Spartans can take another step in the right direction and maybe even make the NCAA Tournament.
