Angel Reese, Team USA take silver in FIBA AmeriCup

Angel Reese had just four points and six rebounds in Sunday’s loss to Brazil.

A fantastic run in Leon, Mexico, for LSU women’s basketball star [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] and the United States Women’s Basketball Team came to an end on Sunday as Team USA fell to Brazil 69-58 in the gold medal game on Sunday.

Reese, who had been fantastic in the tournament and notched multiple double-doubles, struggled in the final, scoring just four points with six rebounds. Still, the reigning college national champion will add a silver medal to her trophy case.

After competing with Team USA this summer, Reese will return to try and lead the Tigers to another national title in what will likely be her last year at LSU. She’ll join another absolutely loaded team that will likely be the favorite to repeat under coach [autotag]Kim Mulkey[/autotag].
