2023-24 OKC Thunder roster officially set

Here’s who is on the 2023-24 OKC Thunder roster as the regular season approaches:

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s 2023-24 regular-season roster is officially set.

Needing to make an additional subtraction, the Thunder announced they waived Jack White on Sunday, finalizing their 15-player roster for their season opener against the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 25.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander headlines the Thunder’s roster coming off of an All-NBA season last year. Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams and Josh Giddey fill out the rest of the notable names as they make up the main pieces of OKC’s young core.

Of course, just because the roster is set now doesn’t mean further changes won’t occur during the season.

Let’s recap the Thunder’s 18-man roster — 15 standard NBA players and three two-way players.

Updated 2023-24 OKC Thunder roster, payroll following free agency

Let’s take a look at the OKC Thunder roster following several offseason moves:

The Oklahoma City Thunder will need to make roster decisions prior to the start of the 2023-24 season. They are at the maximum allowed 21 players on their roster. By opening night, that number will need to be 15 full-time NBA players and three two-way slots.

Until then though, let’s use this slow period of the offseason to review who is under contract for the Thunder as of now.

The core four of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams and Josh Giddey headline the roster. After that, there’s another group of young players and then a small section of expiring salary veterans OKC acquired this offseason in exchange for draft picks.

Updated 2023-24 OKC Thunder roster after latest offseason moves

A quick look at the current OKC Thunder roster following several offseason moves.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have fully utilized their $32 million in cap space this offseason, absorbing hefty expiring salaries for the price of draft picks.

Five of the seven outside additions on the current roster were acquired through trades. The other two were an overseas signing, Vasilije Micic, and a partially guaranteed deal, Jack White.

Teams are allowed to have 21 players on their roster during the offseason and training camp. Right now, the Thunder unofficially have 22 players on the roster with just one of those on a two-way slot, Keyontae Johnson. That means there are still two vacant two-way spots on the roster despite the 22 names.

With so many new names on the roster, let’s conduct a quick reminder who’s on the Thunder roster.
