2023-24 OKC Thunder roster officially set

Here’s who is on the 2023-24 OKC Thunder roster as the regular season approaches:

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s 2023-24 regular-season roster is officially set.

Needing to make an additional subtraction, the Thunder announced they waived Jack White on Sunday, finalizing their 15-player roster for their season opener against the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 25.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander headlines the Thunder’s roster coming off of an All-NBA season last year. Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams and Josh Giddey fill out the rest of the notable names as they make up the main pieces of OKC’s young core.

Of course, just because the roster is set now doesn’t mean further changes won’t occur during the season.

Let’s recap the Thunder’s 18-man roster — 15 standard NBA players and three two-way players.

A key question for every OKC Thunder player on the roster

Here’s one key question for every member of the OKC Thunder roster:

The Oklahoma City Thunder are a couple of weeks away from starting their 2023-24 regular season when it matches up against the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 25.

After finishing a win short of a playoff appearance, the Thunder are expected to contend for a playoff spot this year. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s rise to superstardom has helped make that the case.

The Thunder’s other young pieces Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams and Josh Giddey will also play vital roles in how this season turns out.

As the new season approaches, it’s time to review all 18 main roster players and figure out one key question for each. The three two-way players are not included in this exercise.

Let’s look at key dates:

NBA Wire predicts OKC Thunder’s 2023-24 season record

Here’s how some NBA Wire editors believe the Thunder’s record will be by the end of the 2023-24 season:

After catching the rest of the league off guard last year, the Oklahoma City Thunder enter the 2023-24 season as a likely playoff contender.

A surprising 40-42 campaign last season helped put the Thunder on the map as they finished a win shy of a playoff berth. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s emergence to superstardom and the development of one of the brightest young cores help this case.

The Thunder are in the middle of their honeymoon stage. OKC overachieved last season but now enters this season with a certain level of expected success.

In preparation for the new season, a few NBA Wire editors wrote their record predictions for the Thunder. Let’s see where they have OKC finishing by the end of the regular season.

Presti will be asked his thoughts on a variety of topics, the biggest being his comments on the new arena proposal that has recently picked up steam.
