2022 Wyndham Championship odds, picks and PGA Tour predictions

Analyzing the golf odds to win the 2022 Wyndham Championship, with PGA Tour picks, predictions and best bets.

It’s the final week of the PGA Tour’s regular season as several players attempt to push into the top 125 of the FedExCup standings before the playoffs begin next week. Many top players who have already locked up playoff spots are off this week, but the fields continue to get stronger as the playoffs near.

Below, we look at the 2022 Wyndham Championship odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions.

Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., is hosting the Wyndham Championship again this year, and unlike Detroit Golf Club last week, this course doesn’t require as much length off the tee. It’ll play at 7,131 yards (par 70) and emphasizes approaches into smaller greens. It’s certainly a 2nd-shot course as opposed to one that allows players to spray it off the tee.

Will Zalatoris, Shane Lowry and Webb Simpson are among the big names in the field, with Adam Scott and Sungjae Im also teeing it up. Last year’s champion, Kevin Kisner, will look to defend his title and bounce back from a missed cut last week.

Russell Henley (+3000)

Henley is a nice mix of recent form and course history coming into this week, which is why I like him again. He gave away a win at the Wyndham Championship last year, shooting 1-over on Sunday to miss out on a 6-man playoff by a stroke after bogeying his 72nd hole.

He tied for 10th at last week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic, so I’m going back to him this week with the belief that he’ll make up for last year’s collapse.

Si Woo Kim (+3000)

Kim is another player who’s coming in with good form and has also played well at Sedgefield. He lost in the playoff last year, tied for 3rd here in 2020 and posted a solo 5th-place finish in 2019. He won this event at 21-under in 2016, so his course history is not to be questioned.

Wyndham Championship picks – Contenders

Kevin Streelman (+6000)

Streelman tied for 7th in the Wyndham Championship last year, missing the playoff by 1 shot like Henley. He’s made 4 straight cuts with 4 consecutive top 50s, including a 2nd-place finish at the Barbasol Championship 3 weeks ago.

Callum Tarren (+9000)

Hop on the Tarren wagon before it fills up because Callum is playing really well right now. He’s made the cut in 3 straight starts, finishing in the top 25 each time. He tied for 7th at the 3M Open 2 weeks ago, tied for 20th in Detroit on Sunday and tied for 6th at the John Deere Classic a month ago. I’ll keep riding him this week.

Wyndham Championship picks – Long shot

K.H. Lee (+10000)

There aren’t many long shots I like this week, but Lee feels like a player who could have a good week, given the easier scoring conditions. He went super low at the AT&T Byron Nelson (26-under) and though he hasn’t had much success otherwise this season, he tied for 19th at the Travelers Championship, his last start in the states. He tied for 24th here last year.
