Where the Saints rank in positional spending across the NFL

Where have the Saints invested most on their 2022 roster? Here’s where they rank in positional spending across the NFL, via @DillySanders:

There has been a lot of arguing about how the New Orleans Saints approached the offseason. Should they have blown it up? Did they do the right thing in doubling down and trading next year’s first round pick?

Whatever side you fall on, the season is nearly here and the final say on the roster is about to be made. Money is also a huge talking point with New Orleans. According to Over the Cap, here is where the Saints rank in positional spending across the league for 2022, with $11.28 million left to spend.

Takeaways from LSU’s newly released 2022 roster

With spring practice set to begin, we take a look at LSU’s new and updated roster.

LSU is set to kick off spring practice on Thursday as the Brian Kelly era begins in earnest. It’s a new year in Baton Rouge and with that comes a new roster. Prior to the beginning of camp, the Tigers released that roster earlier in the week.

There aren’t many surprises. The names absent from the list were expected to be so. But now that it is official, fans can start to look at the bigger picture of some of these additions and subtractions.

While it’s always best to exercise caution when reading into some little things, it can still be interesting to take a look at what position guys are listed, whether they’re listed as a defensive back as opposed to safety and things of that nature.

Again, there aren’t many shocks there.

With the roster released, fans have also gotten a look at new players’ numbers and several jersey number changes. Nobody is wearing No. 7 or No. 18 yet, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t speculation about who could have those numbers on their back come kick-off against Florida State in Week 1.

With all of that said, let’s go head and take a look at any significant notes from the new roster.

Notre Dame football: Veteran running back no longer part of roster

Surprised by this at all?

Notre Dame opens up spring practice for the 2022 season Thursday as new head coach Marcus Freeman gets his first crack at the annual practice window.  Freeman met the media early Thursday morning and announced a veteran running back is officially no longer part of the Fighting Irish roster.

C’Bo Flemister, who ran for 10 touchdowns and 471 yards during his time at Notre Dame, is no longer on the roster and that status won’t be changing according to Freeman.

Flemister was suspended for much of the 2021 season after leaving the scene of an accident and then misleading police in their investigation as to what happened.
