2022 New York Giants’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the New York Giants, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The New York Giants endured their 5th consecutive season of 6 or fewer wins in 2021. Coach Joe Judge was fired after the season and replaced by Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. New York enters 2022 hoping Daboll can unlock the full potential of QB Daniel Jones and get the team into playoff contention.

Below, we look at the New York Giants’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

In addition to hiring Daboll, the Giants tabbed Joe Schoen as the new general manager. Schoen also comes from Buffalo, where he was the assistant GM. He replaces Dave Gettleman, who retired after the season.

In free agency, the Giants added veteran offensive linemen Jon FelicianoMax Garcia and Mark Glowinski. They signed QB Tyrod Taylor to be Jones’ backup and added RB Matt Breida and WR Richie James.

They did lose TE Evan Engram, OL Will Hernandez and S Jabril Peppers to free agency.

New York had 2 of the top 7 picks in the NFL Draft, selecting DE Kayvon Thibodeaux (Oregon) with the 5th overall pick and OL Evan Neal (Alabama) at No. 7. The Giants’ next pick was WR Wan’Dale Robinson (Kentucky) in the 2nd round.

New York Giants’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Over/Under: 7.5 (O: +115 | U: -145)

The Giants have had more than 7 wins only once in the last 11 seasons when they were 11-5 in 2016.

They do play in a rather wide-open NFC East where the Cowboys are the favorite, but the Eagles and Commanders might be decent or might be bad.

They also have 5 very winnable games this season with matchups against the Texans, Jaguars, Seahawks, Lions and Panthers.

It will come down to Jones at quarterback. He has shown flashes he can be very good. He also has turned the ball over at an alarming rate in his career, although he did improve last season, fumbling 7 times and throwing only 7 interceptions in 11 games.

Even still, if the Giants split their division games and go 3-2 in those five “winnable” games, they would have to find 2 wins against presumed playoff contenders like the Titans, Vikings, Colts, Packers and Ravens.

That’s a tough task. I see the Giants as a 6-to-7 win team in 2022.

TAKE UNDER 7.5 (-145).

New York Giants’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Giants are tied with six other teams for the second-longest Super Bowl odds in the league. Only the Texans (+20000) have longer odds. The Bills (+600) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+750) are the favorites.

At +10000, New York has 0.99% implied odds of winning it all, or 100/1 fractional odds.

The Giants will probably be better than they were in 2021. But even if they don’t finish last in the NFC East, they probably aren’t yet a playoff team, which makes backing them, even with just a small wager unwise. PASS.

New York Giants’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Giants make the playoffs: Yes +200 | No -250

Jones is 12-25 as a starter in his three seasons. The Giants have not been a playoff team since 2016.

The NFC should feature a competitive wild-card race.

Are the Giants quite on the same level as teams like the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Vikings, Eagles or New Orleans Saints, who all enter the new season looking like better teams?

The Giants aren’t quite there, but the playoff drought could end because of Jones and if everything goes there way.

But I don’t see it. I’m not confident enough to back New York in making the playoffs, while betting them to not make the postseason doesn’t pay enough and isn’t any fun. PASS.

Odds to win NFC East Division

  • Dallas Cowboys +110 (bet $100 to win $110)
  • Philadelphia Eagles +190 (bet $100 to win $190)
  • Washington Commanders +500 (bet $100 to win $500)
  • New York Giants +750 (bet $100 to win $750)

New York’s implied probability of winning the NFC East is 11.76% or 15/2 fractional odds.

The Cowboys are primed to repeat as division champs, although the Eagles could push. The Giants are not yet on that level.

PASS on making any Giants wager here.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +4000 (bet $100 to win $4,000)

The Giants have the same odds of winning the conference as the Panthers. Only 4 teams – Bears, Atlanta Falcons, Lions and Seahawks – have longer odds.

New York has only 2.44% implied odds of winning the conference.

As I don’t like them to make the playoffs at all, backing them to make it to the Super Bowl wouldn’t be a wise wager. PASS.

2022 Atlanta Falcons’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Atlanta Falcons, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Atlanta Falcons have had 4 consecutive losing seasons and will start a new era in 2022 without QB Matt Ryan, who was traded to the Indianapolis Colts after being the Falcons’ starting quarterback since being drafted 3rd overall in 2008. Below, we look at the Atlanta Falcons’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

Coach Arthur Smith will try to get the Falcons to the postseason in his second season at the helm in a division where second place feels wide open.

The Falcons’ biggest move was at QB, trading away Ryan and then signing Marcus Mariota in free agency. They won’t have the services of WR Calvin Ridley, who was suspended indefinitely – at least for the entire upcoming season – for betting on NFL games. They re-signed RB Cordarrelle Patterson and added LB Rashaan Evans, OL Germain Ifedi, CB Casey Hayward and RB Damien Williams.

In the NFL Draft, Atlanta’s first 4 picks were USC WR Drake London (1st round, 8th overall), Penn State DE Arnold Ebiketie (2nd round), Montana State LB Troy Andersen (2nd round) and Cincinnati QB Desmond Ridder (3rd round).

Atlanta Falcons’ 2022 schedule

Atlanta Falcons’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday, May 26 at 6:20 p.m. ET.

Over/Under: 4.5 (O: -125 | U: +100)

They will have no Ryan and no Ridley, but if Mariota stays healthy, he could provide some stability. The 2014 Heisman Trophy winner last started an NFL game in 2019 (for the Tennessee Titans) – he was Derek Carr’s backup with the Las Vegas Raiders the last 2 seasons. Mariota is 29-32 in his career as a starter, all with the Titans, and posted a winning record three consecutive seasons from 2016-18.

For any team to win fewer than 5 games, it must truly be dreadful. Even the historically bad 2018 Cardinals managed 3 wins. These Falcons should be better than them.

Atlanta plays Carolina, projected to be a bad team, twice in 2022. The Falcons face the Buccaneers in a regular-season finale and, if the Bucs wrap up a postseason seed before Week 18, they may take it easy and rest starters.

This Falcons team is probably a 5-6 win team.

TAKE ATLANTA OVER 4.5 WINS (-125).

Atlanta Falcons’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Falcons are tied with six other teams for the second-longest Super Bowl odds in the league. Only the Houston Texans (+20000) have longer odds.

The Buffalo Bills (+600) and Buccaneers (+750) are the favorites in the NFL to win the Super Bowl.

At +10000, Atlanta has 0.99% implied odds of winning the Super Bowl, or 100/1 fractional odds.

The Falcons have overwhelming odds not to even make the postseason. They make a bad bet to win the Super Bowl. PASS.

Atlanta Falcons’ 2022 playoff odds

Will the Falcons make the playoffs: Yes +600 | No -1205

These odds give the Falcons only 14.29% implied odds of making the postseason and 92.34% implied odds of not making the playoffs.

With either Mariota or a rookie QB as the starter and not having won more than 7 games in their last 4 seasons with Ryan at QB, it is going to be nearly impossible for the Falcons to make the postseason.

They are too long a shot to even think there is a chance of making it, not even giving a small wager for them to make it worth some action. However, there is no value at all in betting they won’t at the -1205 price. PASS.

Odds to win NFC South Division

  • Atlanta Falcons +1500 (bet $100 to win $1,500)
  • Carolina Panthers +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)
  • New Orleans Saints +380 (bet $100 to win $380)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers -310 (bet $310 to win $100)

The Falcons’ implied probability of winning the NFC South is 6.25% or 15/1 fractional odds.

This division is a one-team race for the title in Tampa Bay, while the New Orleans might be able to make some noise as a wild-card team.

PASS on the Falcons.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +6000 (bet $100 to win $6,000)

The Falcons have the longest odds to win the NFC. Since they have such overwhelming odds to miss the playoffs, they will never be in a position to win the conference. PASS.

2022 New York Jets’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the New York Jets, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The New York Jets are coming off a 4-win season in 2021, led by a rookie coach in Robert Saleh and a rookie quarterback in Zach Wilson. Now in their second year, they hope to make strides toward competing more and potentially making the postseason. Below, we look at the New York Jets’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

In free agency, the Jets added CB D.J. Reed, DL Solomon Thomas, OL Laken Tomlinson, S Jordan Whitehead, TE C.J. Uzomah and TE Tyler Conklin.

In the 2022 NFL Draft, they selected three players in the first round — Cincinnati CB Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, Ohio State WR Garrett Wilson and Florida State pass rusher Jermaine Johnson II. They added Iowa State RB Breece Hall and Ohio State TE Jeremy Ruckert in the second and third rounds, respectively, giving Saleh top prospects at premium positions on defense and Wilson weapons on offense.

New York Jets’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday, May 26 at 2:19 p.m. ET.

Over/Under: 5.5 (O: -170 | U: +140)

The Jets definitely became more talented in the offseason. However, that won’t necessarily convert into more wins. They play in a tough division with the Super Bowl favorites in the Bills, a Patriots team that will compete for the postseason and a Dolphins team that loaded up for 2022.

Wilson did not have a good rookie season, so whether he makes significant strides in his development or not is what New York’s improvement hinges upon.

Only two games on the schedule — the Jaguars and the Seahawks — appear to be games where you feel any sort of confidence the Jets could win.

In this division, they look like a much-improved team but with only 5 wins.

Take UNDER 5.5 WINS (+140).

New York Jets’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Jets are tied with six other teams for the second-longest Super Bowl odds in the league. Only the Houston Texans (+20000) have longer odds. The Bills (+600) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+750) are the favorites.

At +10000, New York has 0.99% implied odds of winning the Super Bowl, or 100/1 fractional odds.

The Jets look like a last-place team in the AFC East. They make a bad bet to win the Super Bowl. PASS.

New York Jets’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Jets make the playoffs: Yes +600 | No -1205

These odds give the Jets only 14.29% implied odds of making the postseason and 92.34% implied odds of not making the playoffs.

They had the league’s worst defense in 2021, both in scoring and yards. The offense was 28th in points and 26th in yards.

Again, they look like a last-place team in their division, even with the significant talent added in the draft. Those players aren’t going to add wins this season.

They are too long a shot to even think there is a chance of making it, not even giving a small wager for them to make it worth some action. Looking at the other side, there is no value at all in betting they won’t at -1205. PASS.

Odds to win AFC East Division

  • Buffalo Bills -200 (bet $200 to win $100)
  • Miami Dolphins +400 (bet $100 to win $400)
  • New England Patriots +425 (bet $100 to win $425)
  • New York Jets +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000)

As mentioned, the Bills are Super Bowl favorites. They were an overtime away from making the Super Bowl last season. Barring injury, they should easily repeat as division champs.

The Jets? Their implied odds of winning the division are 4.76% They are unquestionably the least talented team in the division. PASS.

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +7000 (bet $100 to win $7,000)

The Jets don’t have the longest odds in the conference. That distinction belongs to the Texans (+10000), but the Jets have the second longest.

As noted previously, they are given 92.34% odds of not even making the postseason. Last-place teams in their division don’t even make it to the playoffs, much less win the conference. PASS.

2022 Washington Commanders’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Washington Commanders, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Washington Commanders finally received a new nickname and have a new outlook as the revolving door at quarterback continues in the 5th season since the franchise moved on from the signal-calling stability QB Kirk Cousins brought to the table.

Below, we look at the Washington Commanders’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

There’s a new face in town in QB Carson Wentz, who is looking to reclaim his career upon his return to the NFC East, and give some solid consistency to the Commanders.

QB Taylor Heinicke finished with 3,149 passing yards last season, snapping a 2-year drought of a Washington QB throwing for at least 1,800 yards.

The Commanders have to replace both starting guards after losing Brandon Scherff to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency and releasing Ereck Flowers. The team went to free agency to find guard replacements in Andrew Norwell and Trai Turner, but the loss of Scherff will sting because he’s one of the best interior linemen in the league.

If Wentz is to succeed, he needs weapons and the Commanders used the NFL Draft to get him a pair – WR Jahan Dotson (Penn State) with the 16th overall pick and RB Brian Robinson Jr. (Alabama) in the 3rd round.

Dotson is undersized, but is capable of making a big play every time he touches the ball.

Robinson had to wait his turn behind Najee Harris, Josh Jacobs and Damien Harris at ‘Bama. Washington expects to see similar production from Robinson at the next level because he brings a similar skill set and the Crimson Tide have a long history of producing good NFL running backs.

Washington Commanders’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday, May 24 at 7:59 a.m. ET.

Over/Under: 7.5 (O: -130 | U: +110)

Despite having a turnstile at QB the last 4 years, Washington has managed to win 7 games in each of the last 2 seasons (since coach Ron Rivera took over) – with lesser QB talent than Wentz provides.

Many might not remember, but Washington won the NFC East just 2 seasons ago.

I predict wins against the Jaguars, Lions, Bears, Texans and Falcons, plus a sweep of the Giants. That’s 7 wins.

Washington has enough talent that it should be able to claim 1 or 2 more wins off its remaining schedule.

TAKE OVER 7.5 WINS (-130).

Washington Commanders’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +6000 (bet $100 to win $6,000)

Riverboat Ron has proved to be a successful coach with an inferior roster, but that doesn’t mean Washington can win it all with solid coaching. His team doesn’t have the elite talent on either side of the ball to be dominant – which is a prerequisite for any legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Last season, Washington had the 23rd-ranked scoring offense in the league and the 25th-ranked scoring defense. Even if the team improves in both of those categories and get to the middle of the pack, that’s still not enough to make a run for a championship. PASS.

Washington Commanders’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Commanders make the playoffs: Yes +175 | No -220

The Cowboys are the most talented team in the division and the Eagles made some big moves in the offseason to put themselves in playoff contention. With the exception of Wentz – who many aren’t convinced will ever be an elite QB – the Commanders essentially spun their wheels in free agency by adding some pieces while losing others that were likely better.

You have to invest a lot to win this one, but the odds are stacked against Washington to make a playoff run.

BET NO (-220).

Odds to win NFC East Division

  • Dallas Cowboys +110 (bet $100 to win $110)
  • New York Giants +750 (bet $100 to win $750)
  • Philadelphia Eagles +190 (bet $100 to win $190)
  • Washington Commanders +500 (bet $100 to win $500)

Washington will struggle to get to .500, which at times has put teams in the thick of the division race in the NFC East. Getting a 5-to-1 return on investment is solid, but the Commanders simply can’t hang with the Cowboys and Eagles given the depth of their rosters and the lack of quality depth on Washington’s. PASS.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +3000 (bet $100 to win $3,000)

When you’re projected to finish 3rd in a weak top-to-bottom division, that never bodes well for making the playoffs, much less going to the Super Bowl. The Commanders have a young core that could be something with a couple more years of solid drafting, but that time hasn’t arrived yet. PASS.

2022 Carolina Panthers’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Carolina Panthers, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Carolina Panthers were a tale of two teams last season, having the second-ranked defense in the NFL while having the 31st-ranked offense. After winning its first 3 games, Carolina lost 12 of its final 14 to finish with a record of 5-12

Below, we look at the Carolina Panthers 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

In the offseason, the Panthers saw an exodus of some of their premier defenders at all three levels, including CB Stephon Gilmore (to Indianapolis Colts), OLB Hasson Reddick (Philadelphia Eagles) and DT DaQuan Jones (Buffalo Bills). They made some splashy signings, including DT Matt Ioannidis, LB Damien Wilson and S Xavier Woods, but the losses were more impactful than the signings for one of the league’s best defenses a year ago.

The Panthers may have drafted their quarterback of the future in Matt Corral (Mississippi State) late in the 3rd round, which looks to be a bargain price, but the team had just 1 pick in the first 93 selections. Carolina used the 6th pick on OT Ikem Ekwonu (N.C. State). He will be a long-term foundation piece but will take time to adjust to the pro game, which won’t bring immediate returns.

Carolina Panthers’ 2022 schedule

Carolina Panthers’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Monday, May 23 at 9:24 p.m. ET.

Over/Under: 5.5 (O: -130 | U: +110)

This is a difficult number because if you look at a game-by-game breakdown, it’s hard to come up with more than 5 or 6 wins.

While I think Carolina is a team that will struggle at times, if they get RB Christian McCaffrey back in the lineup for an entire season and QB Sam Darnold can be a game manager, the Panthers defense has enough talent to keep them in games and win enough to avoid a repeat of the 5-12 season it posted a year ago.

McCaffrey should be worth a couple of wins on his own, despite having a schedule that includes teams from the NFC West and AFC North.

TAKE OVER 5.5 WINS (-130).

Carolina Panthers’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +9,000 (bet $100 to win $9,000)

In a division where the best that can be realistically hoped for is 3rd place for Carolina, you can’t be thinking Super Bowl. The Panthers have the talent to stay in games, but as they showed so often in their 2-12 finish to last season, they haven’t shown the ability to close out games and string together wins.

There is no play here. PASS.

Carolina Panthers’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Panthers make the playoffs: Yes +480 | No -699

This is a number that is very high on both sides of the spectrum – a big 4.8 return on investment if they make the playoffs, while it will cost 6.99 units to profit just 1 if they don’t make the playoffs. PASS.

Odds to win NFC South Division

  • Atlanta Falcons +1500 (bet $100 to win $1,500)
  • Carolina Panthers +1,000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)
  • New Orleans Saints +380 (bet $100 to win $380)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers -310 (bet $310 to win $100)

Getting a 10-to-1 return on investment with the Panthers looks like a positive, but the Buccaneers are such heavy favorites that a Carolina bet here would likely be money wasted – is betting $20 to win $200 worth it on such a long shot?

Even if Tampa Bay was beset with a rash of key injuries, the Saints are a good enough team to checker-jump the Bucs and still leave the Panthers in the rear view mirror as the Saints run away from them. PASS.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +5000 (bet $100 to win $5,000)

This one is an easy one if you simply look at the schedule. Not only do the Panthers have 4 games against the Buccaneers and Saints, there is a 5-game slate from Week 3 to Week 7 that includes 4 home games, but the opponents are the Saints, Cardinals, 49ers, Rams and Buccaneers.

Carolina likely won’t get a single win during that stretch, which represents almost half of the Panthers’ home schedule for the season. The Panthers will likely dig an early hole that will be too much for them to climb out of. PASS.

2022 New Orleans Saints’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the New Orleans Saints, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The New Orleans Saints are in the post-Sean Payton era after the coach stepped down following a 15-year stint (2006-21). During Payton’s tenure, New Orleans won the 2010 Super Bowl and 7 NFC South division titles, including 4 straight from 2017-20.

Below, we look at the New Orleans Saints’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

In the first season following QB Drew Brees’ retirement, the Saints finished 9-8 in 2021 and failed to make the playoffs for the first time in the last five seasons. Brees had been New Orleans’ QB since 2006.

New Orleans promoted defensive coordinator Dennis Allen to coach and QB Jameis Winston will remain the starter for a second consecutive season.

Winston has talent around him in the offense such as 5-time Pro Bowl RB Alvin Kamara, 2019 Offensive Player of the Year WR Michael Thomas and newly acquired 5-time Pro Bowl WR Jarvis Landry.

Can the Saints return to the playoffs and challenge the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the NFC South crown in their first chapter of a new era?

New Orleans Saints’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Monday, May 23 at 5:55 p.m. ET.

Over/Under: 7.5 (O: -170 | U: +140)

PASS with a heavy “lean” toward Over 7.5 (-170) only because I wouldn’t tie up my money in a future this pricey.

However, there’s a lot to like about the Saints coming into this season, so I’d bet New Orleans’ regular-season win total if it increases to 8 with cheaper juice.

The Saints were 9-3 in games started by either Winston or QB Taysom Hill, – both missed games because of injuries.  They missed the playoffs, losing a tiebreaker to the Eagles (also 9-8 overall).

New Orleans’ defense is loaded with Pro Bowl talent at all three levels. The Saints have perhaps the best linebacker group in the NFL. They have 3 defensive linemen ranked in Pro Football Focus’s top 10 and signed 3-time All-Pro S Tyrann Mathieu in the offseason.

Also, their defense ranked 3rd in DVOA by Football Outsiders last season, 1st in success rate and 2nd in expected points added per play.

The offense is a question mark with Winston under center. However, they added first-round draft pick WR Chris Olave (Ohio State) to an offense with two of the best players at their position when healthy in Kamara and Thomas, so Winston has support.

The biggest question mark for the Saints is the departure of 3-time Pro Bowl LT Terron Armstead (to the Miami Dolphins). They addressed this by using their other first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft on LT Trevor Penning (Northern Iowa).

If the Saints get good injury luck this season, they can flirt with double-digit wins and could even win a couple of playoff games.

But the Saints’ Over 7.5 (-170) regular-season wins price is too expensive, so I’d rather “sprinkle” on a Saints future with a fatter payout.

New Orleans Saints’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +4000 (bet $100 to win $4000)

PASS.

I don’t like the Saints vs. several elite AFC teams should they make it as far as the Super Bowl, which is highly unlikely with a rookie coach and Winston, who has never started a playoff game.

New Orleans’ Super Bowl odds are longer than the Eagles and Cardinals (both +3000), but the Saints are better than both of those teams.

New Orleans Saints’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Saints make the playoffs: Yes +130 | No -160

BET YES (+130).

They were on the cusp of a playoff berth last season despite dealing with a cluster of injuries to their QB room and missing one of the best wideouts in the game in Thomas.

More importantly, the Saints have the ninth-easiest schedule in the NFL next season according to their opponent’s projected regular-season win totals, (per Warren Sharp).

Only 6 NFC teams are projected to win more games than the Saints – a few also have an 8.5-win total. Remember, the NFL moved to a 7-teams per conference playoff format last season.

Odds to win NFC South Division

  • Atlanta Falcons +1500 (bet $100 to win $1,500)
  • Carolina Panthers +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)
  • New Orleans Saints +380 (bet $100 to win $380)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers -310 (bet $310 to win $100)

PASS.

The Saints’ price should be north of +600 since QB Tom Brady is returning to the Buccaneers. He has led his team (New England Patriots or Tampa Bay) to division titles in 17 of his last 18 healthy seasons. The only time he didn’t was in 2020 when the Saints claimed the NFC South in his first season with the Bucs.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +2000 (bet $100 to win $2000)

SPRINKLE on the SAINTS TO WIN NFC (+2000), if at all, because this is definitely the weaker of the two conferences. If your usual unit is $100 then risk only $10 to win $200 on the off-chance New Orleans reaches the Super Bowl.

Granted, a lot of things need to go right for this to happen: Winston throws 30-plus TDs with fewer than 15 interceptions, New Orleans’ defense is a top-3 unit in football and the Saints hit a home run with Allen as Payton’s successor.

All of those things are in play with the least likely being Winston’s ascension into a legit franchise QB. However, the defense could be enough to carry the Saints on a playoff run.

New Orleans to make the playoffs is my favorite future bet here, but there’s little value in SAINTS TO WIN NFC (+2000).

2022 Houston Texans’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Houston Texans, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Houston Texans’ major move this offseason was trading away franchise cornerstone QB Deshaun Watson to the Cleveland Browns for a myriad of draft capital, including 3 future 1st-round picks.

Below, we look at the Houston Texans’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

QB Davis Mills, who was impressive as a rookie last season, is set to captain the Texans. Houston went 2-9 in his 11 starts, including wins in 2 (Weeks 14 and 15) of the final 4 games.

With two 1st-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, Houston selected CB Derek Stingley Jr. (LSU) with the third overall pick and OL Kenyon Green (Texas A&M) at No. 15.

The Texans won the AFC South in 2018 and ’19, but followed with back-to-back 4-win seasons to finish third in the division both times – only ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Houston has been to the playoffs 4 of the past 7 seasons but never won a Super Bowl.

Houston Texans’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Over/Under: 4.5 (O: -105 | U: -120)

I actually believe the Texans are going to have a strong season, and I expect some regression from the defending AFC South champion Titans.

Mills had 16 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last season. Expect the 6-foot-4 Stanford product, who was selected in third round of the 2021 draft, to have better numbers in his sophomore campaign.

The Texans improved defensively and offensively in the offseason. They added Alabama standout WR John Metchie III with a 2nd-round pick in the recent draft. They also signed veteran RB Marlon Mack, who played his first 5 seasons with the Colts and ran for 1,091 yards in 2019. Plus, they have a quality coach in Lovie Smith.

Considering its improvements through the draft, Houston should be able to build on its 4-win season from last season.

BET OVER 4.5 WINS (-105).

Houston Texans’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +20000 (bet $100 to win $20,000)

Houston has the longest odds to win it all. The Buffalo Bills (+600) are the favorites, followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+750).

At +20000, Houston has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 0.5% or 200/1 fractional odds.

Backing the Texans (+20000) makes almost zero sense outside of the potentially extremely huge payout. This isn’t March Madness, and the Texans won’t be a Cinderella story this season.

Houston Texans’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Texans make the playoffs: Yes +1200 | No -3030

The AFC is far deeper than the NFC, and with the Colts and Titans both by far the best teams in the division and a plethora of top-tier threats in the AFC North, I don’t expect the playoffs to be in the Texans’ future.

Betting “No” at -3030 also has absolutely no value as Mills and co. could surprise. PASS.

Odds to win AFC South Division

  • Houston Texans +3000 (bet $100 to win $3,000)
  • Indianapolis Colts -105 (bet $105 to win $100)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars +650 (bet $100 to win $650)
  • Tennessee Titans +140 (bet $100 to win $140)

Houston’s implied probability of winning the AFC South is 3.23% or 30/1 fractional odds.

There’s actually a chance this one happens as Titans RB Derrick Henry has had some injury concerns and new Colts QB Matt Ryan could struggle, especially if he gets hurt.

Nonetheless, it’s a PASS as even if those two players miss the entire season, the Texans would still have little chance.

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

The AFC is both top-heavy and has an absurd amount of depth.

The AFC West added QB Russell Wilson (to the Broncos) and still has the Chiefs and Chargers competing for the division throne, while the AFC North is full of premier talent as well.

There’s no chance, even if the Texans sneak into the playoffs, that they reign over the division.

2022 Jacksonville Jaguars’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Jacksonville Jaguars, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, the worst team in the NFL in 2020 and ’21, have a new coaching staff for a second straight year. With Doug Pederson as head coach, the Jaguars attempt again to rebuild and build around QB Trevor Lawrence. Below, we look at the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

The Jaguars went out and spent big money in free agency, signing WRs Christian Kirk and Zay Jones, OL Brandon Scherff, LB Foyesade Oluokun, DT Folorunso Fatukasi and TE Evan Engram

In the 2022 NFL Draft, they selected Georgia pass rusher Travon Walker with the first overall pick and Utah LB Devin Lloyd with the 27th overall pick, also in the first round. Their next two picks were OL Luke Fortner (Kentucky) and LB Chad Muma (Wyoming), both in the third round.

Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Saturday, May 21 at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Over/Under: 6.5 (O: +110 | U: -130)

The Jaguars won 3 games last season after only 1 win in 2020. They only have won more than 6 games once (2017) in the last 11 seasons.

Will they be better than last season? Yes. Will they be better coached with Pederson than they were with Urban Meyer? Yes.

However, especially in a division where the Titans and Colts both are expected to be playoff contenders, it’s hard to see the Jaguars taking a big jump into relevance.

Even 6 wins would be an accomplishment. A total of 5-6 wins with more competitive losses should be what to expect from Jacksonville this season.

TAKE UNDER 6.5 WINS (-130).

Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Jaguars are long shots. They are tied with the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Lions, Giants, Jets and Seattle Seahawks for the second-longest Super Bowl odds. The Houston Texans have the longest odds at +20000 and are the only team with longer odds.

The favorites are the Buffalo Bills (+600), followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700).

At +10000, Jacksonville has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 0.99% or 100/1 fractional odds.

There are far better long-odds bets to make than on the Jaguars. They have three double-digit win seasons this century. This team has to learn how to be simply not terrible before they can be great. PASS.

Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Packers make the playoffs: Yes +425 | No -599

The Jaguars have not been to the playoffs since 2017. They play in a division with two expected playoff contenders. At -599, they have 85.69% implied odds of not making the playoffs.

There is no money to be made there and it isn’t much fun to bet on a bad team to not make it to the postseason. PASS.

Odds to win AFC South Division

  • Houston Texans +3000 (bet $100 to win $3,000)
  • Indianapolis Colts -105 (bet $105 to win $100)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars +650 (bet $100 to win $650)
  • Tennessee Titans +140 (bet $100 to win $140)

Again, this is a two-team race. So many things would have to go wrong for the Colts and Titans not to win the AFC South … and that many things would have to go right for the Jags. PASS.

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +5000 (bet $100 to win $5,000)

They do not have the longest odds. Only the Jets (+7000) and Texans (+10000) have longer odds.

I don’t like the Jaguars to make the playoffs, so they definitely are not going to make it out of the playoffs. PASS.

Las Vegas Raiders’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Las Vegas Raiders, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Las Vegas Raiders went through a turbulent 2021 season in which they fired coach Jon Gruden during the season and cut loose General Manager Mike Mayock after the season, despite winning 10 games for the first time since 2016.

Below, we look at the Las Vegas Raiders 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

The Raiders made some big-splash moves in the offseason, completely overhauling their roster. The team brought in a whopping 25 players from other teams in the offseason, highlighted by the blockbuster trade to acquire WR Davante Adams from the Green Bay Packers. Other key additions were edge rusher Chandler Jones, DT Bilal Nichols, CB Rock Ya-Sin, LB/DE Kyler Fackrell and CB Anthony Averett.

The Raiders didn’t have a draft pick until late in the third round due to the Adams trade. They took OL Dylan Parham (Memphis) with that third-round pick and RB Zamir White (Georgia) in the fourth round to add some more punch to the offense.

Las Vegas Raiders’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Wednesday, May 18 at 7:16 p.m. ET.

Over/Under: 8.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

This is a difficult choice. The Raiders made so many moves in the offseason, it’s going to take time for the unit to build any sense of cohesiveness. Coming off a 10-win season, hopes have to be high in Las Vegas, but the fact of the matter is that the Chargers and Broncos both made big moves to improve themselves to compete with the division king of the hill in the Chiefs.

The Raiders surprised a lot of people last season, but they are the clear 4th-place choice in the division and they may be fortunate to go 2-4 against their AFC West rivals this season. With 4 games against the NFC West, it’s going to be a long grind for the Raiders this season.

TAKE THE LAS VEGAS RAIDERS UNDER 8.5 WINS (-110)

Las Vegas Raiders’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +4000 (bet $100 to win $4,000)

PASS.

When you’re predicted to finish dead last in the division, the goal is to move up into contention for a division title, not a Super Bowl title. The Raiders have a lot of strong component pieces, but you can’t build chemistry in free agency. It has to come organically.

The Raiders could once again be a surprise team, but with a stacked schedule devoid of an easy stretch of games to get a winning streak and momentum on their side, the Raiders will struggle to get to .500 and stay there.

Las Vegas Raiders’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Raiders make the playoffs: Yes +190 | No -250

I don’t see the Raiders making the playoffs – by my count, they will likely be favorites in just 5 or 6 of their 17 games. The problem here is having to bet $1,000 just to win $400 on a No (-250) wager. It’s a sucker bet that doesn’t pay off nearly as well as numerous other bets that can be made. Betting on futility is always a problem, especially when the return in so low. PASS.

Odds to win AFC West Division

  • Denver Broncos +260 (bet $100 to win $260)
  • Kansas City Chiefs +155 (bet $100 to win $155)
  • Las Vegas Raiders +600 (bet $100 to win $600)
  • Los Angeles Chargers +240 (bet $100 to win $240)

It would be one thing if the Raiders were just chasing the Chiefs. They’ve had more success against Kansas City than any other team in the division in recent years. But when you have 3 division foes that all look to have stronger rosters, it makes it difficult to believe Las Vegas can vault past all 3 of them to win its first AFC West crown in 20 years. PASS.

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000)

There isn’t much to say here. The last time the Raiders won the AFC and went to the Super Bowl was in 2002 and they have made the playoffs only twice in the intervening 20 years – bowing out in the wild-card round both times.

The AFC is stacked with good teams and the Raiders just don’t have the consistency to hang with them week after week. The Raiders’ schedule is brutal from start to finish and that will be problem throughout the season as the next heavy hitter waits in the wings to take them on. PASS.

2022 Los Angeles Chargers’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Los Angeles Chargers, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Los Angeles Chargers have made the playoffs just once in the last 8 years, but in quarterback Justin Herbert the organization believes it has the foundation piece to build a franchise around. The offense has already responded, but the 29th-ranked scoring defense was the problem last year that kept the Chargers out of the playoffs again.

Below, we look at the Los Angeles Chargers 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

The Chargers went to great pains in the offseason to address their awful defense. They made a big move to trade for edge rusher Kahlil Mack to provide an every-play threat. In free agency, they made splash moves in signing CB J.C. Jackson and DT Austin Jackson. But, the Chargers lost, or haven’t re-signed, more players than they added. The talent level went up, but the numbers went down, creating a problem that will likely prevent the Chargers from making a big leap up defensively.

L.A. had just 2 picks in the first 122 selections of the NFL Draft and made strategic moves to add players they expect will have the chance to start immediately — G Zion Johnson with the 17th pick and S J.T. Woods in the 3rd round. They didn’t have a lot of early capital by design, but made the most of what they had.

Los Angeles Chargers’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Over/Under: 10.5 (O: -135 | U: +110)

The Chargers are one of the darlings of the sleeper circuit to be the bold August prediction of greatness. Herbert is the goods. The offense is going to be fine and capable of putting up 30 on anybody. The concern here is that there is a defense capable of giving up 31.

I believe the Chargers have the Fouts/Coryell era ability to get into 38-35 games on a weekly basis. The problem is they may be 10 points down when the shootout begins more times than not. In the last 12 years, the Chargers have hit the Over on this number just once. Throw in the arms race within the division to chase down Kansas City, 11-6? I don’t think so.

TAKE THE LOS ANGELES CHARGERS AND THE UNDER (+110)

Los Angeles Chargers’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +1500 (bet $100 to win $1,500)

If you’re on the Herbert bandwagon, this is your bet. However, this is more a Joe Burrow-style bet than a Matthew Stafford-style bet. Stafford took beatings in Detroit for a decade. Once he got a good team around him, he shined. Burrow rode a wave to the Super Bowl, but didn’t win. This bet isn’t who put himself on the map. It’s who got a chip. The Chargers aren’t that team in 2022. 2023? Maybe. Not yet. PASS.

Los Angeles Chargers’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Chargers make the playoffs: Yes -160 | No +130

Taking the Under on the gaudy 10.5 wins assigned should not be interpreted as a belief that the Chargers are going to be a bottom feeder. Far from it. Betting on them going 11-6 is a big ask. L.A. is a legit 10-7 team with a shot to take out the Chiefs as division king if K.C. takes a couple of critical missteps. In the betting world, 11 is a lot more than 10. Every extra win gets harder to come by.

You shouldn’t necessarily bank on getting into the playoffs unless it’s as a division champ, but the Chargers have enough horses to get the job done — even if it means winning a lot of high-scoring games to accomplish. It isn’t a strategy that wins Super Bowls too often, but it’s enough to get to the playoffs.

TAKE THE LOS ANGELES CHARGERS TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS (-160)

Odds to win AFC West Division

  • Denver Broncos +260 (bet $100 to win $260)
  • Kansas City Chiefs +155 (bet $100 to win $155)
  • Las Vegas Raiders +600 (bet $100 to win $600)
  • Los Angeles Chargers +240 (bet $100 to win $240)

Until otherwise notified, the Chiefs are the team to beat in the AFC West. However, the only team to do that on a regular basis in the division is the Raiders. The question hanging over the division is how much impact there will be of the Chiefs trading WR Tyreek Hill.

All 3 chasing teams made big moves in the offseason — really big — to give themselves a chance to take the K.C. out. The Chargers are given the best chance of the 3 AFC West rivals. Don’t bet the mortgage on it, but a sensible bet to get double-and-a-taste in return make sense.

TAKE THE LOS ANGELES CHARGERS TO WIN THE AFC WEST (+240)

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +750 (bet $100 to win $750)

At the end of the day, the Chargers are using 2022 to build to 2023. They are likely going to get into the playoffs, which should come close to filling the good seats in their stadium. But if you think they’re going to the Super Bowl, you may a little hasty. The last time the Chargers won the AFC title was in 1994 and the drought has gotten worse with time.

This team may have its day. But it won’t be in February 2023. PASS.
