2022 New York Jets’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the New York Jets, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The New York Jets are coming off a 4-win season in 2021, led by a rookie coach in Robert Saleh and a rookie quarterback in Zach Wilson. Now in their second year, they hope to make strides toward competing more and potentially making the postseason. Below, we look at the New York Jets’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

In free agency, the Jets added CB D.J. Reed, DL Solomon Thomas, OL Laken Tomlinson, S Jordan Whitehead, TE C.J. Uzomah and TE Tyler Conklin.

In the 2022 NFL Draft, they selected three players in the first round — Cincinnati CB Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, Ohio State WR Garrett Wilson and Florida State pass rusher Jermaine Johnson II. They added Iowa State RB Breece Hall and Ohio State TE Jeremy Ruckert in the second and third rounds, respectively, giving Saleh top prospects at premium positions on defense and Wilson weapons on offense.

New York Jets’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday, May 26 at 2:19 p.m. ET.

Over/Under: 5.5 (O: -170 | U: +140)

The Jets definitely became more talented in the offseason. However, that won’t necessarily convert into more wins. They play in a tough division with the Super Bowl favorites in the Bills, a Patriots team that will compete for the postseason and a Dolphins team that loaded up for 2022.

Wilson did not have a good rookie season, so whether he makes significant strides in his development or not is what New York’s improvement hinges upon.

Only two games on the schedule — the Jaguars and the Seahawks — appear to be games where you feel any sort of confidence the Jets could win.

In this division, they look like a much-improved team but with only 5 wins.

Take UNDER 5.5 WINS (+140).

New York Jets’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Jets are tied with six other teams for the second-longest Super Bowl odds in the league. Only the Houston Texans (+20000) have longer odds. The Bills (+600) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+750) are the favorites.

At +10000, New York has 0.99% implied odds of winning the Super Bowl, or 100/1 fractional odds.

The Jets look like a last-place team in the AFC East. They make a bad bet to win the Super Bowl. PASS.

New York Jets’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Jets make the playoffs: Yes +600 | No -1205

These odds give the Jets only 14.29% implied odds of making the postseason and 92.34% implied odds of not making the playoffs.

They had the league’s worst defense in 2021, both in scoring and yards. The offense was 28th in points and 26th in yards.

Again, they look like a last-place team in their division, even with the significant talent added in the draft. Those players aren’t going to add wins this season.

They are too long a shot to even think there is a chance of making it, not even giving a small wager for them to make it worth some action. Looking at the other side, there is no value at all in betting they won’t at -1205. PASS.

Odds to win AFC East Division

  • Buffalo Bills -200 (bet $200 to win $100)
  • Miami Dolphins +400 (bet $100 to win $400)
  • New England Patriots +425 (bet $100 to win $425)
  • New York Jets +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000)

As mentioned, the Bills are Super Bowl favorites. They were an overtime away from making the Super Bowl last season. Barring injury, they should easily repeat as division champs.

The Jets? Their implied odds of winning the division are 4.76% They are unquestionably the least talented team in the division. PASS.

Odds to win AFC

Odds: +7000 (bet $100 to win $7,000)

The Jets don’t have the longest odds in the conference. That distinction belongs to the Texans (+10000), but the Jets have the second longest.

As noted previously, they are given 92.34% odds of not even making the postseason. Last-place teams in their division don’t even make it to the playoffs, much less win the conference. PASS.
