Kentucky Derby weather forecast: Will it rain at Churchill Downs for 2022 Oaks, Derby?

You may have some betting interest on the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks in 2022, and whatever you’re betting will depend upon a bunch of factors, including the weather.

So, as of Thursday morning around 9AM ET, we have an update on the possible conditions in Louisville on Friday — when the Kentucky Oaks will take place — and Saturday for the Derby at Churchill Downs.

Per Weather.com: Friday’s forecast is a 90 percent chance of rain with a high of 73 degrees. Thunderstorms could be in the mix.

On Saturday? A 24 percent chance of precipitation with “slight chance of a a rain shower.”

The 148th running of the Kentucky Derby is finally upon us.

As horse racing season heads into the first leg of the Triple Crown, all eyes shift towards Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky where the 2022 field is all set.

On Monday, jockeys and trainers learned which position they’ll hold heading into the race with the post position draw revealed. Zandon leads the way the odds on favorite at 3-1 with Messier (8-1), Taiba (12-1) and Epicenter (7-2) all close behind.

The next few days should see plenty of action coming in and the lines will start to move accordingly. In the meantime, you can find all the post positions below.
