2022 Atlanta Falcons’ win total, Super Bowl, conference and division odds

Analyzing 2022 NFL futures for the Atlanta Falcons, including odds for win total, Super Bowl and division with expert picks.

The Atlanta Falcons have had 4 consecutive losing seasons and will start a new era in 2022 without QB Matt Ryan, who was traded to the Indianapolis Colts after being the Falcons’ starting quarterback since being drafted 3rd overall in 2008. Below, we look at the Atlanta Falcons’ 2022 NFL futures odds – including win total, division, conference and Super Bowl odds at Tipico Sportsbook – with best bet suggestions among our NFL picks and predictions.

Coach Arthur Smith will try to get the Falcons to the postseason in his second season at the helm in a division where second place feels wide open.

The Falcons’ biggest move was at QB, trading away Ryan and then signing Marcus Mariota in free agency. They won’t have the services of WR Calvin Ridley, who was suspended indefinitely – at least for the entire upcoming season – for betting on NFL games. They re-signed RB Cordarrelle Patterson and added LB Rashaan Evans, OL Germain Ifedi, CB Casey Hayward and RB Damien Williams.

In the NFL Draft, Atlanta’s first 4 picks were USC WR Drake London (1st round, 8th overall), Penn State DE Arnold Ebiketie (2nd round), Montana State LB Troy Andersen (2nd round) and Cincinnati QB Desmond Ridder (3rd round).

Atlanta Falcons’ 2022 win total: Best bet

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Thursday, May 26 at 6:20 p.m. ET.

Over/Under: 4.5 (O: -125 | U: +100)

They will have no Ryan and no Ridley, but if Mariota stays healthy, he could provide some stability. The 2014 Heisman Trophy winner last started an NFL game in 2019 (for the Tennessee Titans) – he was Derek Carr’s backup with the Las Vegas Raiders the last 2 seasons. Mariota is 29-32 in his career as a starter, all with the Titans, and posted a winning record three consecutive seasons from 2016-18.

For any team to win fewer than 5 games, it must truly be dreadful. Even the historically bad 2018 Cardinals managed 3 wins. These Falcons should be better than them.

Atlanta plays Carolina, projected to be a bad team, twice in 2022. The Falcons face the Buccaneers in a regular-season finale and, if the Bucs wrap up a postseason seed before Week 18, they may take it easy and rest starters.

This Falcons team is probably a 5-6 win team.

TAKE ATLANTA OVER 4.5 WINS (-125).

Atlanta Falcons’ 2022 Super Bowl odds

Odds: +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

The Falcons are tied with six other teams for the second-longest Super Bowl odds in the league. Only the Houston Texans (+20000) have longer odds.

The Buffalo Bills (+600) and Buccaneers (+750) are the favorites in the NFL to win the Super Bowl.

At +10000, Atlanta has 0.99% implied odds of winning the Super Bowl, or 100/1 fractional odds.

The Falcons have overwhelming odds not to even make the postseason. They make a bad bet to win the Super Bowl. PASS.

Atlanta Falcons’ 2022 playoff odds

Will the Falcons make the playoffs: Yes +600 | No -1205

These odds give the Falcons only 14.29% implied odds of making the postseason and 92.34% implied odds of not making the playoffs.

With either Mariota or a rookie QB as the starter and not having won more than 7 games in their last 4 seasons with Ryan at QB, it is going to be nearly impossible for the Falcons to make the postseason.

They are too long a shot to even think there is a chance of making it, not even giving a small wager for them to make it worth some action. However, there is no value at all in betting they won’t at the -1205 price. PASS.

Odds to win NFC South Division

  • Atlanta Falcons +1500 (bet $100 to win $1,500)
  • Carolina Panthers +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)
  • New Orleans Saints +380 (bet $100 to win $380)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers -310 (bet $310 to win $100)

The Falcons’ implied probability of winning the NFC South is 6.25% or 15/1 fractional odds.

This division is a one-team race for the title in Tampa Bay, while the New Orleans might be able to make some noise as a wild-card team.

PASS on the Falcons.

Odds to win NFC

Odds: +6000 (bet $100 to win $6,000)

The Falcons have the longest odds to win the NFC. Since they have such overwhelming odds to miss the playoffs, they will never be in a position to win the conference. PASS.
