After a week of practice rounds, press conferences and cheese-head shenanigans, the 24 players from Team USA and Europe are finally ready to tee it up in the 2021 Ryder Cup. The fun gets started at Whistling Straits Friday morning with four matches of the foursomes format – or more commonly known as alternate shot.
The pairings were set Thursday afternoon and will pit some of the best golfers in the world against each other in a very difficult team format. The Europeans will look to get off to a strong start as they attempt to retain the cup after winning it in 2018, while the U.S. tries to grab an early lead on home soil.
