The MLB All-Star break was extended an extra day with the postponement of Thursday’s scheduled Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees series opener at Yankee Stadium. The extra day of rest around the league gives bettors some more time to dive into the futures odds for the 2021 World Series and make their MLB picks and predictions.
The 2020 World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers remain on top of the odds board despite entering the midseason break second in the National League West at 56-35. The Houston Astros are the favorites in the American League and are putting behind them the sign-stealing scandal of two years ago.
At the other end of the spectrum, seven teams trail their respective division leader by at least 10 games. The Arizona Diamondbacks (26-66) are last in baseball with just a .283 winning percentage.
