Green currently has an average draft position of 67.26, according to MyFantasyLeague.com. He is being drafted as WR28, behind the likes of DeVante Parker (WR26) and T.Y. Hilton (WR27)
Reasons to draft A.J. Green
- When healthy, Green is still one of the best deep threats in all of the NFL. He has averaged an impressive 14.8 yards per reception throughout his entire career.
- Green is still the Bengals’ No. 1 receiver and should see a ton of targets with new QB Joe Burrow in command. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Green saw double-digit targets multiple times this season.
- Green is one of the few receivers that could finish as a No. 1 WR in fantasy as he has the talent and pedigree to put together a monster season in Cincinnati. The upside is massive for the former Georgia star.
Reasons not to draft A.J. Green
- Green has not played in an NFL game since Dec. 2, 2018, and is already dealing with a hamstring injury.
- The Bengals have several other intriguing options at wide receiver, including Tyler Boyd, John Ross, Tee Higgins and Auden Tate.

Where should I draft A.J. Green in fantasy football drafts?
Deciding where to draft Green is one of the most difficult decisions fantasy managers have to make right now. Many owners selected him in the fifth or sixth round last season and he never appeared in a game while dealing with a lingering foot injury.

While he is mostly healthy right now, there are some concerns about his durability heading into the season. His upside far outweighs the possible injury risk because Green has proven to be a dominant player in the NFL.
In the first seven years of his career, Green averaged 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns per season despite a number of missed games in between. Whenever he is on the field, he is a threat to score a touchdown at any moment given his size, ball skills and incredible ability to make plays after the catch.
There is certainly some risk to taking him in the sixth or seventh round this year, but he can be a league-winner when he’s on the field. Don’t be afraid to pick the seven-time Pro Bowl receiver anytime after the top-50 or so selections.
