Colorado Buffaloes head coach Tad Boyle is hard at work this offseason as the head coach for the Team USA U18 group.
Boyle is off to a terrific start with a 2-0 record in the first two days of action.
Team USA started things off on Monday with a 116-48 victory over the Dominican Republic and followed it up with another massive 123-41 win over Ecuador.
Next up for Team USA is Puerto Rico on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. MT, and the USA is 5-0 against Puerto Rico.
After the game, Boyle spoke about the first two games, according to the official website.
“We’ve talked from the beginning about not being our own worst enemy and playing to the gold standard USA Basketball has for itself, and I think our guys have done a great job at that. Our guys are really sharing the ball on offense and playing with pretty good energy on defense.”
This is terrific exposure for Boyle and a chance to examine the next wave of college basketball players. We will continue to monitor Boyle’s success on the national stage, and the USA should have no problem moving to 3-0.
