In a conference call with Boston Celtics beat writers Wednesday, team president revealed an interesting wrinkle that should help the Celtics if the 2019-20 NBA regular season is able to be re-started.
Two way fan favorites Tacko Fall and Tremont Waters would be eligible to play with the parent club, reports Fortune’s Chris Grenham, after having spent most of the season to date with Boston’s G League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws.
There likely won’t be anything close to a full resumption of the team’s schedule with so much time past and so many other, more important factors to consider in light of the pandemic behind the shuttering of league activities.
Danny Ainge says Tacko Fall and Tremont Waters (two-way players) can still be with the Celtics if the season resumes.

But even still, the additional depth will be a helpful resource as the team plays itself back into shape.
Neither of the duo had any kind of serious run with the parent club during the regular season, but both were able to contribute in meaningful minutes on occasion, and could be called on again as players gradually ramp up minutes played after the long break.
