Boston Celtics rookie Tacko Fall logged just two minutes on assignment Sunday with the Maine Red Claws during a 116-111 win over the Westchester Knicks.
Fall was pulled early in the first quarter after picking up a second personal foul with 9:41 left in the period. The 7-foot-5 center got tangled up with a Knicks defender as the two crashed to the court, causing Fall to pick up his second foul.
The early exit by Fall snapped a recent string of strong performances. Fall had recorded three straight double-doubles after scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds on Saturday in a loss to the Raptors 905. Fall averaged 14 points, 14.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks over that span.
After Sunday, Fall is now averaging 12.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in 25 games played. He is fourth in the G League in blocks and seventh in rebounds.
