Tacko Fall nearly recorded his first career 20-20 game in the G League

The 7-foot-5 center recorded a career-high 20 rebounds on Tuesday afternoon with the Maine Red Claws.

Boston Celtics rookie Tacko Fall finished just two points shy of recording his first career 20-point, 20-rebound game in the G League on Tuesday afternoon as the Maine Red Claws defeated the Capital City Go-Go.

Fall tallied 18 points and a career-high 20 rebounds during the 125-93 win. He shot 7-of-10 from the field in 30 minutes of work while he also added five blocks and one assist. The 7-foot-5 center registered his 15th double-double of the season, which ranks seventh among all G League players.

Fall bounced back after logging just two minutes for the Red Claws on Sunday. He picked up two early fouls in that contest and did not appear again during the win over the Westchester Knicks. On Tuesday, Fall recorded a double-double in the first half alone with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Fall proved to be dominant down low against the Go-Go, which resulted in easy baskets. The guard play by the Red Claws decimated the Go-Go throughout the contest and helped set up easy lobs and putback dunks for Fall, who finished with seven offensive rebounds.

After his performance, Fall is now averaging 12.8 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in 26 games played. He is fourth in the G League in blocks and ninth in rebounds.

Next up for the Red Claws: A home matchup on Thursday vs. the Lakeland Magic.
