Tacko Fall is 2nd in rebounds among all G League players in February

The 7-foot-5 center has been a rebounding machine with the Red Claws, hauling in 14 per game during the month of February.

Boston Celtics rookie Tacko Fall registered his 12th double-double of the season Tuesday night with 12 points and 14 rebounds on assignment with the Maine Red Claws in the G League.

Fall shot 5-of-9 from the field in a season-high 33 minutes of work. He recorded eight rebounds and seven rebounds alone in the fourth quarter to help the Red Claws overcome a 10-point deficit to force overtime and pull out the 123-119 win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

The 7-foot-5 center failed to record at least one block for the first time this season but he is averaging 14 rebounds in four games during the month of February, which is second among all G League players during that time frame.

Fall has proven to be too strong down low against the opposition this season, which often results in easy putbacks or lobs from his teammates. His activity in the paint paid off for the Red Claws late as it helped spark their comeback on Tuesday night.

After his performance, Fall is now averaging 12.9 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in 22 games played. Fall is fourth in the G League in blocks and ninth in rebounds among all players.
