Boston Celtics two way player Tacko Fall had another solid outing on assignment with the Maine Red Claws Monday night, while two way teammate Tremont Waters continued to work his way through a shooting slump.
Even though the night didn’t feature the sort of eye-popping stats this pair has become known for putting up in the G League, it also wasn’t needed.
The Red Claws beat the Windy City Bulls handily even with the duo having a mostly relaxed night against the developmental franchise of the eponymous Chicago 121-83 at Sears Center on Feb. 11.
Fall logged a perfect 4-of-4 from the floor for 8 points and 12 rebounds with 4 blocked shots for good measure, while Waters went just 2-of-6 from the floor and 0-of-2 from deep.
Waters still found ways to contribute in the blowout, scoring 9 points, 7 assists and a steal.
Both rookies may be seeing the effects of a longer G League season beginning to wear a bit on their game, but they should adapt to the additional wear-and-tear as they have most other things that have come their way as players.
Their next opportunity to do just that will be this evening, as the team continues their midwestern road trip as the Red Claws take on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the Indiana Pacers’ G League team, at 7pm ET.
