Tacko Fall asks fans to use healthy habits amid coronavirus pandemic

The Celtics rookie offered some healthy practices to use to help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Boston Celtics rookie Tacko Fall petitioned fans in a video posted on Sunday to social media to practice healthy habits during the worldwide coronavirus pandemic.

The CDC announced on Sunday that they recommend no gatherings of 50-plus people for the next two months in the United States in an attempt to slow the spread of the virus.

Fall helped provide some healthy practices to use during this time.

“In times like this, I just wanted to say that it’s very important not to panic,” Fall said. “But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t take all of the precautions necessary to keep this in check. It is our responsibility to stop the spread of this virus. Make sure you avoid going to crowded places. If you need to stay at home, stay at home. Make sure you stay clean and, most importantly, wash your hands.”

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced the hiatus will last at least 30 days as players are required to stay in their respective markets during the time off. Following the latest update from the CDC, teams are beginning to believe the earliest the league could return to play is in June.

As teams around the NBA expect to play in June, the belief is that the G League season will soon be canceled as the regular season was set to conclude on March 28.
