Everyone is eagerly awaiting the relaunch of PlayStation Plus, particularly retro enthusiasts keen on revisiting some PlayStation classics. Among the several PS1 titles will be Syphon Filter, and it’s getting some modern functionality.
On Thursday, Bend Studio announced that Syphon Filter will have trophy support once it arrives on the all-new PS Plus (Thanks, IGN). Up until this point, there’s been no word from Sony regarding any PS1 games on the service receiving trophies. Perhaps because not every title will, but your guess is as good as mine on that front.
Bend also shared a quick video of what Syphon Filter‘s trophies will be, which you should check out below.

Full disclosure: my experience with this series begins and ends with almost renting one more than two decades ago when I was a wee lad. Still, it’s cool seeing such an old game get new bells and whistles!
Hopefully, Sony will let everyone know if more old-school games will get trophies as well. Syphon Filter is the only one so far. Though, since Bend is a first-party studio, there’s a good chance that more are on the way.
Bend’s more recent efforts include Days Gone, which had a rough development but ultimately found an audience.
