SuperWest Sports, and writer Jack Follman, in particular, doesn’t have much confidence in either of Colorado football’s front lines.
Follman recently ranked the Buffaloes’ offensive line unit at No. 11 in the Pac-12 and he has now put their D-line at dead last in the conference.
It’s fair to admit that CU doesn’t boast a particularly established offensive front, but the defensive line does feature a few accomplished names in West Virginia transfer Taijh Alston, Fresno State defect Leonard Payne Jr. and former Dartmouth standout Shane Cokes, who had a strong first spring in Boulder.
However, Follman still believes that Payne, Alston, Cokes, Washington transfer Sav’ell Smalls and Missouri transfer Arden Walker (his projected starters) comprise the weakest D-line unit in the Pac-12.
Can the Buffaloes use this latest slight as fuel? Let’s hope so.
