Super sweet! Arkansas women blast Stephen F. Austin to make NIT Super 16

The Razorbacks rolled Stephen F. Austin from Bud Walton Arena, 60-37, in the round of 32 of the Women’s NIT behind 27 points from Samara Spencer. Arkansas will play Texas Tech in the Super 16 on Friday in Fayetteville.

Defense was far more important for the Hogs than offense. Arkansas shot ust 32% from the floor, but Stephen F. Austin made only 22% of its attempts. The Razorbacks blocked six shots, had 10 steals and forced a total of 17 Lumberjacks turnovers.

Makayla Daniels joined Spencer in double figures with 11 points. Jersey Wolfenbarger came off the bench to score another nine. Jordan Harrison led SFA with 11 points, as well, but she made 2 of 11 field goals.

Texas Tech beat SMU in the round of 32 to play Arkansas. Tip time from Bud Walton Arena is 7 p.m.
