After playing in his second G League rehab assignment on Saturday, Phoenix Suns rookie guard Ty Jerome is probable to play on Monday night against the Charlotte Hornets, the team announced.
Jerome has not yet made his official NBA debut after suffering a sprained right ankle in practice on Oct. 21. He has made two appearances with the Northern Arizona Suns in the G League as he continues to recover from the injury.
The first-round pick recorded a season-high 18 points, including 16 in the first half alone, Saturday night for NAZ Suns in a loss against the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He logged 19 minutes off of the bench, playing in 5-8 minute stretches in three-quarters of work before sitting in the final period.

Jerome showed no lingering issues with his ankle as he finished 6-of-8 from the field while converting on both 3-point attempts. He took contact on a couple of different plays, finishing strong at the rim to draw a few trips to the free-throw line as he appears to be ready for NBA action.
With Jerome poised to suit up in the NBA, it is unclear what his role in the rotation will be but he could prove to be a valuable addition to the team off of the bench.
